PREPARATION FOR THE THIRD SEASON FEASTS: THE CONGREGATION OF EPHESUS (Revelation 2:6-7)

1. EPHESUS (Revelation 2:6-7)

THEY HAVE THIS IN THER FAVOR:

• They HATE what the Nicolaitans DO just as Messiah Yeshua HATES it.

• There are several theories on who the Nicolaitans were namely:

1. One theory is that they were a SECT named after a man called Nicolas, who attempted to RECONCILE PAGAN RELIGIOUS PRACTICES with CHRISTIANITY, and included PAGAN RITUALS (idol worship) and SEXUAL IMMORALITY.
2. Another theory is that it is the Greek version of the Hebrew Balaam in an attempt to CORRUPT the CONGREGATION (the CHURCH) with SEXUAL IMMORALITY.
3. A third theory is that it is a GNOSTIC SECT. They believed (and still do) that there is HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE, that only a few privileged people can attain (as in SECRET SOCIETY), and they DENY the VIRGIN BIRTH and DIVINITY of YESHUA the MESSIAH.

THEY SHOULD MAKE SURE:

• They HEAR and LISTEN to the VOICE of the HOLY SPIRIT in this message to them.

THE REWARD FOR WINNING THE VICTORY

• They will RECEIVE the RIGHT to EAT from THE TREE OF LIFE which is in GOD the FATHER’s GARDEN of EDEN (Paradise).

• They are therefore PROMISED that they will be able to ENTER YHVH’s KINGDOM and HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

SOUL SEARCHING:

• DO I HATE what MESSIAH YESHUA HATES?
• Compromising THE TRUTH.
• Distortion of THE FAITH.
• Unrestrained indulgence in sin leading to separation from YHVH our God.
• Having no regard for HOLINESS.
• Celebrating sin.
• Rejecting YHVH’s COMMANDMENTS of how to LOVE Him, other people and ourselves.
• Blending and corrupting YHVH’s SEVEN FEASTS He intended to lead us on the WAY of SALVATION.

• Am I HEARING and LISTENING to (acting on) the VOICE of the HOLY SPIRIT CALLING me to REPENTANCE on the matters I identified?

• Am I ENCOURAGED by MESSIAH YESHUA’s PROMISE that if I REPENT on the matters as identified by me and RETURN to HIM and FOLLOW HIM, HE WILL RESTORE me and GIVE me the RIGHT to ENTER THE GARDEN of EDEN (Paradise) and HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE in HIS GLORIOUS PRESENCE as we read in Revelation chapters 21-22?
