PREPARATION FOR THE THIRD SEASON FEASTS: THE CONGREGATION OF EPHESUS (Revelation 2:4-5)

The KING is in the FIELD! AWAKEN the BELIEVERS!

1. EPHESUS (Revelation 2:4-5)

MESSIAH YESHUA WARNS:

• You have LOST the LOVE they had at first.

• REMEMBER where you were before you fell.

• TURN from sin.

• DO what you used to DO before.

• If not, I WILL COME to you and REMOVE the MENORAH (the seven branched lampstand, representing the HOLY SPIRIT, the FIRE and LIGHT of YHVH) from its place (resulting in spiritual darkness and therefore blindness and an inability to understand the Word).

SOUL SERCHING:

1. DO I LOVE YHVH WITH ALL MY HEART, ALL MY MIND AND ALL MY STRENGTH) (Matthew 22:37-38 & Exodus 20:1-11) 

• DO I LOVE HIM above all else or do I LOVE other small letter gods (like myself, other people, my job/ career, money, possessions, entertainment) MORE than I LOVE HIM and Do I therefore allow them to sit on the THRONE of my HEART where YHVH my CREATOR and GOD, should sit?

• DO I FOLLOW YHVH’s WORD (obey Him) or do I follow and obey the words of my small letter gods?

• DO I BOW (submit) to YHVH my GOD, honouring Him in ALL I THINK, DO and SAY or DO I BOW (submit) to small letters?

• DO I HONOR THE NAME of YHVH my GOD, by being HIS REPRESENTATIVE EVERY DAY in ALL I THINK, DO and SAY?

• DO I HONOR YHVH my GOD’s DAY of REST, the Seventh Day Sabbath?

2. DO I LOVE MY NEIGHBOR (OTHER PEOPLE) AS MYSELF? (Matthew 22:39-40, Exodus 20:12-14 & Romans 13:8-10)

• DO I HONOR my father and my mother?

• DO I refrain from MURDERING others with my THOUGHTS, WORDS and DEEDS?

• DO I refrain from COMMITTING ADULTERY with my EYES and THOUGHTS (in my heart) and or my BODY?

• DO I refrain from STEALING?

• DO I refrain from GIVING FALSE WITNESS by not GOSSIPING and LYING about other people?

• DO I refrain from COVETING what belongs to other people?

3. DO I LOVE FELLOW BELEIVERS LIKE MESSIAH YESHUA LOVES ME (John 13:34-35)

• Am I DEVOTED to them and HONOR and RESPECT them?

• DO I CARRY their BURDENS (support them and have empathy with them)?

• DO I ENCOURAGE them and BUILD them UP (uplift and strengthen them)?

• DO I SPUR them ON towards LOVE and GOOD DEEDS?

• DO I MEET with them REGULARLY and COMFORT them (fellowship and encouragement)?

• AM I LIKE-MINDED with them, in UNITY in MIND and SPIRIT, having a BOND of PEACE through LOVE (unity and shared purpose)?

• DO I SHARPEN them and ALLOW them to SHARPEN me (ensuring mutual growth and accountability)?

• DO I SERVE them HUMBLY in LOVE?

REPENTANCE & RESTORATION (1 John 1:5-10 & Ephesians 6:10-18)

• Acknowledge (admit, recognize, confess) those things not in line with HIS WORD and HIS WILL with a contrite heart.

• Receive HIS FORGIVENESS and PURIFICATION from all wrongdoing.

• Actively and daily TURN AWAY from ALL thing not in line with HIS WORD and HIS WILL by FOLLOWING in the FOOTSTEPS of YEHSUA our MESSIAH by with the help and guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT.

• RESIST old behaviour patterns of the flesh by PUTTING ON THE WHOLE ARMOR of GOD the FATHER:

– Understanding that our fight is NOT against people but against the evil forces of darkness in the heavenly realm.

– Buckling up with the TRUTH of YHVH’s WORD around our waists, reading and meditating on the WORD of GOD DAILY and in so doing STORING IT UP IN OUR HEARTS and MIND.

– Putting on HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS as a BEASTPLATE to protect our hearts from destructive emotions.

– Putting on our feet the READINESS to share HIS GOOD NEWS OF PEACE (SHALOM) everywhere we go.

– ALWAYS carrying the SHIELD of FAITH right around us – protecting us from ALL SIDES against the enemy’s flaming arrow attacks on the body, soul and spirit, and WLAKING in FAITH, not by SIGHT and KNOWING that Abba Father causes EVERYTHING to work together for the GOOD for those who LOVE HIM and are CALLED in accordance to HIS PURPOSE (2^nd Corinthians 5:7 & Romans 8:28).

– Putting on the HELMET OF SALVATION – knowing for sure that we are saved and delivered from the slavery of sin by MESSIAH YESHUA and keeping our thoughts focussed on HIS TEACHINGS IN THE WORD and following Him in OBEDIENCE to ABBA FATHER.

– Taking up the SWORD of the SPIRIT – the WORD of YHVH in fighting ALL our battles, like our Messiah illustrated to us in Luke chapter 4.

– And finally PRAYING at ALL times, in ALL circumstances and for ALL fellow believers in the world.
