PREPARATION FOR THE THIRD SEASON FEASTS: THE CONGREGATION OF PERGAMOS (Revelation 2:17)

The KING is in the FIELD! AWAKEN the BELIEVERS!

CONGREGATION THREE: PERGAMOS (Revelation 2:17)

THEY SHOULD MAKE SURE:

They HEAR and LISTEN to the VOICE of the HOLY SPIRIT in this message to them.

• Messiah Yeshua end His address to each of the SEVEN CONGREGATIONS with this phrase: “Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

• He used this same phrase in Matthew 11:15-24 prior to HIS MESSAGE of WARNING to the UNREPENTANT CITIES.

• Messiah Yeshua gives ONE FINAL WARNING to each of the SEVEN CONGREGATIONS, telling them that it is IMPORTANT for them to HEED what HE is SAYING WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME.

• Isaiah 6:8-13 described how the EARS of the people would be CLOSED when MESSIAH YESHUA will came the FIRST TIME, and this PROPHECY was fulfilled by the MANY PEOPLE who did not UNDERSTAND MESSIAH YESHUA’s TEACHINGS and the religious leaders of the JEWS (the Southern Kingdom comprising of Judah and the smaller tribe of Benjamin) OPPOSING Him openly. This may be due to DOUBLE-MINDENDNESS, and a HARDENED HEART not filled with the HOLY SPIRIT.

• A DOUBLE-MINDED HEART, is a HEART like Balaam’s, torn between TWO paths, wavering between TWO options or decisions.

• Paul confirmed in 1 Corinthians 10:21, we CANNOT EAT at the TABLE of MESSIAH YESHUA in the HOLY PLACE (accepting His teachings on the Word and applying it to our lives) and EAT at the TABLE of demons/ evil spirits (allowing the world to influence our hearts and minds and applying it).

• EMOTIONAL TURMOIL often accompanies DOUBLE-MINDEDNESS, a STRUGGLE between what we KNOW is RGHT and CONFLICTING DESIRES of the flesh (the old sinful nature).

• When we CHOOSE to be DOUBLE-MINDED, there are real consequences of instability and unpredictability AFFECTING our RELATIONSHIPS, DECISIONS and overall sense of PEACE.

• Believers have the CHOICE to be the people described in Isaiah 6 (having a hardened heart ruled by the old flesh/ sinful self, not filled by the Holy Spirit, and therefore being deaf and blind) or the people described in Isaiah 32 (dying to the old self and receiving a new heart and spirit from YHVH and being filled with His Holy Spirit and therefore able to hear and see).

• Isaiah 32:3-4 PROMISE that the EYES and EARS of the people will ONE DAY be OPENED, when FILLED with the HOLY SPIRIT and MANY will ACCEPT the WORDS of YESHUA.

• For this to happen, it is required that we CHOOSE to ALLOW HIM to REMOVE our STONE HEARTS and to RECEIVE a NEW spirit, able to SURRENDER to HIS HOLY SPIRIT and to FOLLOW in the WILL and WAYS of YHVH according to THE TRUTH as written in His WORD (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

• Revelation 2-3 begins MESSIAH YESHUA’s LAST APPEAL to people to FOLLOW Isaiah 32:3-4 to LISTEN to and HEED HIS WORDS.

• These MESSAGES to the SEVEN CONGRGATIONS are also a WARNING that ONE DAY it will be TOO LATE.

• Those who CHOOSE to HEAR and REPENT WILL BE SAVED and those who choose to KEEP their EARS and HEARTS CLOSED to the TRUTH of the WORD of YHVH will be SUBJECT to JUDGEMENT.

• The MESSAGES to the SEVEN CONGREGATIONS are therefore part of YHVH our God’s MERCY to CALL us BACK to HIM while there is STILL TIME to REPENT and FOLLOW Messiah Yeshua in the TRUTH of HIS WORD.

• And He is not expecting us to Do it alone, HE gives HIS HOLY SPIRIT to teach, lead, help, support and comfort

THE REWARDS FOR WINNING THE VICTORY

The REWARD for the BELIEVERS who don’t EAT the FOOD sacrificed to idols (therefore not participating in false religious customs), neither indulging in SEXUAL IMMORALITY, even though they lived in a place STRONGLY INFLUENCED by the kingdom of darkness, but CHOSE NOT to be double-minded, God the Father will GIVE:

1) Some of the HIDDEN MANNA to EAT.

• The HIDDEN MANNA is SPIRITUAL FOOD (THE WORD of YHVH) which FEEDS our SOULS and GIVES us LIFE, the LIFE of MESSIAH YESHUA when we UNDERSTAND and APPLY it (Luke 24:44-47 and John 6:48-51a).

• MANNA was HIDDEN INSIDE the ARK of the COVENANT, beneath the MERCY SEAT (Hebrews 9:1-4).

• MANNA (the BREAD of LIFE, the WORDS of MESSIAH YESHUA) brings life in CONTRAST to the spiritual food of the kingdom of darkness which brings death.

• The HIDDEN MANNA is the LIFE of MESSIAH YESHUA which we EAT afresh EVERY DAY, as we DRAW CLOSE to HIM, and HE OPENS our MINDS to UNDERSTAND HIS WORD, just as He did with the disciples prior to His ascension (read Luke 24:44-47). This GATHERING of MANNA each DAY, brings us into HIS SWEET PRESENCE and SUSTAINS and STRENGHTEN our SOULS (hearts and minds), enabling us to make choices with our FREE WILL in accordance to the TRUTH in HIS WORD, giving us PEACE.

• MESSIAH YESHUA explained it in John 6:48-51a “I AM the bread which is LIFE. Your fathers ate the manna in the desert; they died. But the BREAD that COMES DOWN from HEAVEN is such that a person may EAT it and NOT DIE. I AM THE LIVING BREAD (THE WORD) that has come down from HEAVEN; if anyone EATS THIS BREAD, he will LIVE FOREVER.”

• OVERCOMMERS who FEED on this MANNA (the TRUTH, THE PURE WORD of YHVH) WILL LIVE and never die.

2) A WHITE STONE, on which is WRITTEN a NEW NAME that nobody knows except the one RECEIVING it.

• They will LEARN their NEW NAME, written on a WHITE STONE, and known only to the one who receives it. We also see in Revelation 19:12 in the vision of MESSIAH YESHUA, who is the FIRST FRUIT of those who BELONGS to HIM and will be made ALIVE (1^st Corinthians 15:20-23) and the PIONEER and PERFECTER of our FAITH (Hebrews 12:2), during HIS SECOND COMING: “…He had a NAME WRITTEN which no one knew but HIMSELF.  God the Father GIVES us TRUE IDENTITY and LIFE in HIS LOVE, the OLD is GONE, the NEW has come (2 Corinthians 5:17 & Revelation 21:5). There is no death and no darkness in Him. HalleluYAH! Praise His Name!

SOUL SEARCHING

1. Am I struggling with DOUBLE-MINDEDNESS?

2. Do I acknowledge the TRUTH of YHVH’s WORD, yet are drawn into CONFUSION, wanting to follow YHVH’s WILL, but struggling with DOUBT and DISTRACTIONS?

3. What is KEEPING my EARS CLOSED to the TRUTH in the WORD of YHVH? Is it perhaps a HARDENED HEART because I got wounded and hurt and are trying to PROTECT myself? Or is it due to false religious customs I am involved in, or the strong influence of sexual immorality in our world?

4. Am I CHOSING to be an Isaiah 32 BELIEVER, dying to the old me, receiving a new heart and spirit, being filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and having EYES that can SEE and EARS that can HEAR and LISTEN to the WORD and apply it in my life?

5. Have I DECIDED to die to my flesh (the old sinful nature) and be reborn as a child of God the Father through my FAITH in Yeshua my Messiah, and found my NEW IDENTITY in HIM?

6. DO I understand the DEPTH and WIDTH of ABBA FATHER’s LOVE for me? (Ephesians 3:18)?

7. Do I understand that the MESSAGES to the SEVEN CONGREGATIONS are CALLING me in LOVE to REPENT and TURN back to ABBA FATHER while there is still time?

8. Do I understand God the Father’s HOLINESS and HIS RIGHTOUSNESS, requiring a PURE and HOLY LIFE from me?

9. Do I understand the PATH back to HIM pictured by HIS SEVEN FEASTS?

10. Am I willing to WALK, with the HOLY SPIRIT on this PATH (called “THE WAY”) in the FOOTSTEPS of YESHUA my MESSIAH back to ABBA FATHER?

11. Do I understand my NEW IDENTITY in MESSIAH, living in HIS LIGHT, in spite of the darkness of the world around me?

RESTORATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT

• We can TRUST GOD the FATHER to HEAL our WOUNDED HEARTS, HE PROMISED that HE will take out our STONE HEARTS and GIVE us (soft pliable) HEARTS of FLESH and a NEW spirit, which are able to be influenced by HIS HOLY SPIRIT and FOLLOW HIS COMMANDMENTS and HIS WAYS and have LIFE ABUNDANTLY (to the full) (Ezekiel 36:26 & John 10:10b).

• It is IMPORTANT to CHOOSE whom we want to FOLLOW. If it is YHVH our God, we need to be willing to SUBMIT our WILL to HIS WILL by daily asking that the HOLY PIRIT takes control of our lives through our souls (our hearts/ emotions and mind/ thoughts) moulding it in line with he example of MESSIAH YESHUA in applying the WORD of ABBA FATHER. Consider regularly PRAYING Psalm 19 and 119. 

• We FIND the HIDDEN MANNA of YHVH our God when we EAT daily at HIS TABLE in the HOLY PLACE (our souls, meaning our hearts and minds), asking Him to open our minds to be able to UNDERSTAND HIS WORD through HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

• When we CHOOSE integrity and purpose over confusion, it brings alignment with YHVH’s WILL and BLESSINGS will follow.

• We CHOOSE to run to Abba Father for ALL our needs, including our frustrations, fears, heartache and worries through PRAYER, SEEKING the answers to our questions in HIS WORD and APPLYING it to how we THINK, SPEAK and ACT.
