FEAST SEASON 2 – FEAST 4: PENTECOST 2026 – including Tabernacle imagery & Gifts

THE SECOND SEASON FEAST OF YHVH

FEAST 4: FEAST OF WEEKS/ PENTECOST

The FEAST OF WEEKS/ PENTECOST called Shavuot in Hebrew, takes place seven full weeks, 50 days AFTER the Sabbath (the Seventh Day) the day (Sunday/ the First Day of the week) the sheaf was brought as wave offering, fulfilled on the DAY of RESURCECTION of Yeshua our Messiah. Yeshua fulfilled the Feast of Pentecost when He was glorified and exalted to the throne of God; He then sent the Holy Spirit upon His disciples on the Day of Pentecost. This as the fulfilment as promised by God through the prophets that God will write His laws on their hearts through the giving of the Holy Spirit. This year we celebrate the Pentecost sundown on 23 May to sundown on 24 May 2026 (you will remember a day on the Biblical calendar starts at sundown and not at midnight as we are used to).

We find the instruction of Abba Father for the FEAST of PENTECOST in:

Leviticus 23:15-16 ““From the day after the day of rest – that is, from the day you bring the sheaf for waving – you are to count seven full weeks, until the day after the seventh week; you are to count fifty days; and then you are to present a new grain offering to YHVH.”

THE PURPOSE OF THE FEAST WEEKS/ PENTECOST

The Feast of WEEKS/ PENTECOST serves to remind us that:

Believers who ACCEPTED YESHUA the MESSIAH as their SAVIOR and received forgiveness of their sins, DIED to their OLD SELF with Yeshua the Messiah and rise with Him as A NEW CREATION/ A NEW PERSON and are daily washed with the WATER of THE WORD are then ready to be filled with the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT, thereby receiving His POWER and GIFTS to enable us to assist in bringing in the harvest of the Kingdom (proclaiming the Gospel/ Good News of Salvation).

We see the evidence of this during the FIRST FEAST of PENTECOST 50 DAYS after the RESURECTION and ASCENTION of Yeshua the Messiah:

About 120 of Yeshua’s followers gathered in the upper room in Jerusalem in prayer when the Holy Spirit was poured out on them.

We read in Acts 2:1-4: “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

 When the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, they began to worship God in foreign languages that were spoken and understood by the Jewish pilgrims who had come to Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Pentecost that was celebrated in accordance to YHVH, the Father’s instructions in Leviticus 23:15-21. Peter then stood up and preached a bold sermon. When the people heard his words, they sought salvation and three thousand accepted Yeshua as their Messiah (see Acts 2:37-41).

 BIBLICAL HISTORY AND MEANING

 While the Feast of Passover marked the beginning of the barley harvest, the Feast of Pentecost was celebrated during the wheat harvest. It came on the 6^th day of the Hebrew month Sivan, corresponding to our Western Calendar in May/ June. The feast lasted for one day. The instructions that God gave enable us to determine the exact day of the feast. God said they were to celebrate the feast 50 days after the Feast of First Fruits. The name of the feast, Pentecost is derived from the Greek word for “fifty.”

The Feast of Pentecost was also referred to as the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Harvest (see Exodus 23:16 and Numbers 28:26). The main activity on the Feast of Pentecost was the presentation of the wave offering to YHVH. This was two loaves of bread baked with leaven. The bread was made with fine flour that had been carefully sifted to separate the coarse matter from the wheat. The wave offer expressed the Hebrews’ dependence on God for the harvest and their daily bread. It was therefore a thanksgiving offering.

When the Israelites were scattered among the nations, the Feast of Pentecost lost its primary significance as a harvest festival and was celebrated as a memorial to the time God gave them the Torah (that is the first five books of the Bible, Genesis to Deuteronomy including the Ten Commandments), at Mount Sinai. We read about it in Exodus 19 and 20. The English translation says all the people witnessed the thunder and lightning and Jewish scholars believe that people actually “saw the voice of God” coming from the mountain in TONGUES OF FIRE. The mixed multitude that came out of Egypt (thus included non-Israelites, read Exodus 12:38), saw the tongues of fire and heard the voice of God speak in different languages so they could understand His words. Since it seems strange to “see voices”, this phrase was translated as thundering and lightning. The voices therefore sounded like thundering and appeared as fire. Psalm 29 is about the awesome POWER OF THE VOICE OF YHVH and in verse 2 we read: “The voice of YHVH divides the flames of fire.” Also read Hebrews 12:18-19.

So God came down upon Mount Sinai to meet with His people. They gathered in one place in the morning on 6 Sivan. The whole mountain was filled with fire. The trumpet sounded loudly. The people ran to the foot of the mountain to meet with God. They saw voices in fire. God spoke and then Moses spoke. The people trembled. It was an awesome revelation of the glory of God. Yet because of their sin, people died (read Exodus 32:28).  We can therefore see that Pentecost did not happen for the first time in the book of Acts but rather in the book of Exodus. The first Pentecost therefore was on Mount Sinai when God wrote His Words on tablets of stone. Yet YHVH promised there would be a time in the distant future when He would write His laws on the fleshly tablets of human hearts (read Jeremiah 31:31-34, Ezekiel 36:26-27 and Hebrews 8:10 & 10:16).

FULFILLED BY YESHUA

Yeshua fulfilled the Feast of Pentecost when He was glorified and exalted to the throne of God; He then sent the Holy Spirit upon His disciples on the Day of Pentecost. This was the fulfilment as promised by God through the prophets that God will write His laws on their hearts through the giving of the Holy Spirit. Yeshua spoke of the fulfilment of this feast in John 12:23-24 saying: “…The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” Yeshua was talking about Himself as the human grain of wheat who would die for the sins of the world. It was fifty days from the Feast of First Fruits to the Feast of Pentecost (Leviticus 23:15-16). Likewise, it was exactly fifty days from Yeshua’ resurrection to the day when He sent the Holy Spirit upon the disciples!

On the evening that Yeshua was resurrected, He appeared to His disciples and BREATHED ETERNAL LIFE into them. We read about this in John 20:19-22 “Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Yeshua came and stood in their midst, and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’ When He said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Master. So Yeshua said to them again, ‘Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.’ And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’“ At that moment, the disciples experienced a SPIRITUAL REBIRTH that established their NEW LIFE POSITION IN YESHUA THE MESSIAH.

But Yeshua had more for them, He desired to fill them with the Holy Spirit so they would have POWER to be witnesses to all nations. It was however not time yet for Him to do this. Therefore, Yeshua spent the next FORTY DAYS with the disciples explaining how the HEBREW SCRIPTURES POINTED TO HIMSELF as their fulfilment. We read the following in Luke 24:44-53: “Then He said to them, ‘These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.’ And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Then He said to them, ‘Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Messiah to suffer and rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.’ And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.”

 Also see the words of Yeshua as recorded by Luke in Acts 1:4-8. Yeshua instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they receive the Promise of the Father, which Yeshua calls THE BABTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT and He explains the PURPOSE of this baptism is to give the disciples POWER to BE HIS WITNESSESS. They had this encounter with the Holy Spirit ten days later on the Day of Pentecost.

About 120 of Yeshua’ followers gathered in the upper room in prayer when this blessed event took place on that glorious day that Luke tells us about in Acts 2:1-4: “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Then there appeared to them divided tongues as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

 When the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, they began to worship God in foreign languages that were spoken and understood by the Jewish pilgrims who had come to Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Pentecost that was celebrated in accordance with God’s instructions in Leviticus 23:15-21. Peter then stood up and preached a bold sermon. When the people heard his words, they sought salvation and three thousand accepted Yeshua as Messiah and Lord (see Acts 2:37-41)

Do you remember the two loaves of bread indicated in Leviticus 23:17? Both were baked with leaven, a common symbol of sin. One of these loaves was pointing to the Jews (people from the tribe of Judah and Benjamin), who, although they were sinners, received the power of God in their lives by acknowledging Yeshua as Messiah and Master (represented by the fine flour Yeshua was perfectly righteous and without sin). This happened on the exact day the Israelites had been celebrating the Feast of Pentecost for almost 1500 years. The other loaf represented the Gentiles (or non-Jews, people not from the tribes of Judah and Benjamin), who would also receive this wonderful blessing from God, even though they too were sinners. We know this because when Peter preached his sermon on the Day of Pentecost, he said that the baptism in the Holy Spirit was for: “…you and your children and for all who are far of – for all whom the Lord our God will call.” (read Acts 2:39)

PERSONAL SIGNIFICANCE FOR US/ APPLICATION

John the Baptist was recorded in all four Gospels including Matthew 3:11 saying: “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes One who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Yeshua fulfilled the Feast of Passover as the LAMB OF GOD who died for our sins. He fulfilled the Feast of Pentecost as the EXALTED AND GLORIFIED LORD WHO BAPTIZES WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND WITH FIRE.

Think of the disciples: They had Yeshua as their teacher for over three years, they watched Him perform many miracles, they saw Him conquer death and stand in their midst in a resurrected body, Yeshua gave them the indwelling Holy Spirit, and they were born again to eternal life. Yet, in spite of all of this, Yeshua told them to wait in Jerusalem until they received HIS POWER. The purpose of the baptism in the Holy Spirit was to give the disciples, and us, power to be BOLD WITNESSESS for God (read Acts 1:8). It was this encounter with God that transformed Peter from a coward hiding behind closed doors to the man who stood before the great crowd and boldly proclaimed Yeshua to be Messiah and Master. This was true for all the disciples (followers of Yeshua) who were filled with the Holy Spirit, they began to minister in the POWER, BOLDNESS, and AUTHORITY of YESHUA. This little group of men and women turned their world upside down.

Interesting enough, Yeshua, as the ONE we should follow as our example, was also filled with the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17) before beginning His ministry. He required God’s POWER through the Holy Spirit to preach, heal the sick, cast out demons and overcame Satan. In Luke 4:18-19 Yeshua read from the Book of Isaiah 61:1-2 who prophesied about Him and described His ministry on earth. And this is also the great commission Yeshua has given to all His followers. He told His disciples in John 14:12 “…He who believes in Me, the works I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” The reason being, when Yeshua walked the earth, His ministry was limited to His human body. But now He ministers on earth through many members of HIS SPIRITUAL BODY, called the MESSIANIC COMMUNITY (also called the church). For this purpose, we must however be filled with the Holy Spirit. God still wants to use ordinary men and women, like YOU and ME to turn the world upside down as WE MINISTER in the BOLDNESS and POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

THE PROPHETIC ASPECT

As the Book of Acts reveals, the New Covenant people of God began in a blaze of glory. God worked mightily through the early believers. Yeshua gave them the following commission and assurance in Mark 16:15-18 “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (or all creation). He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” And we see in Mark 19-20 that is exactly what Yeshua’ followers did after He was received into heaven and sat at the right hand of God. “…they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word through the accompanying signs…”

But sadly, when the Church became institutionalized in A.D. 312, many of those in charge were politicians rather than godly, spiritual men. The result was that CHRISTIANITY was ORGANISED into a RELIGIOUS SYSTEM whose leaders chose a HUMAN-DIRECTED STRUCTURE RATHER THAN A SPIRIT-LED and EMPORED CHURCH. The spiritual reality of the Feast of Pentecost was therefore lost to the Church for centuries. Yet, through Church history, there were periodic, localized revivals of Pentecost.

THE TABERNACLE PICTURE

The pictures/ imagery of the TABERNACLE and its furniture in the TORAH (Genesis tot Deuteronomy) improve our understanding and help us in taking practical steps in our journey to YHVH the Father through Yeshua our Messiah who is THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE (according to John 14:6);

The TABERNACLE is YHVH THE FATHER’s PLAN and BLUEPRINT for SALVATION, PORTRAYING YESHUA THE MESSIAH from the beginning to the end.

The TABERNACLE on earth was just a copy and shadow of the heavenly original (Hebrews 8:3-8).

• The TABERNACLE is a picture of Yeshua our Messiah who is indeed IMMANUEL, “God with us” and He Himself is God the everlasting Father according to Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6, living with us. Also read John 1:14 & 2:21, Hebrews 10:19-22, Revelation 21:3.

• Entering the gate of the TABERNACLE was only the beginning of the journey of forgiveness and only the high priest had the privilege to enter into the presence of YHVH with fear and trembling on behalf of the people of Israel. But today we know, Yeshua our Messiah is the Way (the Gate) leading to ABBA FATHER. “Yeshua said, ‘I AM the WAY – and the TRUTH and the LIFE; no one comes to the FATHER except through Me.’” (John 14:6)

He says in John 10:9 “I am the gate; if someone enters through Me, he will be safe and will go in and out and find pasture.”

And in John 5:37 & 39 He says: “…the Father who sent Me has Himself testified on My behalf…You keep examining the Tanakh (the Old Testament) because you think that in it you have eternal life. Those very Scriptures bear witness to Me, but you won’t come to Me in order to have life!”

• Yeshua the Messiah is the GATE standing between the things of YHVH the Father in the OUTER COURT and the WORLD – His desire is to LET us IN not to hold us out. He is the gate, the way to ABBA Father.

• And just as in the picture of the TABERNACLE, entering the gate is just the beginning of our journey in relationship with ABBA Father.

AFTER ENTERING THE GATE (through YESHUA OUR MESSIAH) WE HAVE TO FOLLOW SEVEN STEPS AS PART OF EVERY BELIEVER’S SALVATION AND SANCTIFICATION PROCESS

STEP 1: Made PEACE with YHVH the Father through the sacrifice of our Messiah Yeshua.

STEP 3: We are raised with Yeshua our Messiah to a new life in Him and learning to live a sanctified, set-apart life by studying the ways of YHVH the Father in His Word and applying it. This means we SHAMA – the only word in Hebrew for OBEDIENCE that means: to HEAR, to LISTEN, to GIVE ATTENTION, to UNDERSTAND, to SUBMIT to and to OBEY.

TABERNACLE FURNITURE: the MENORAH (the seven branched Lampstand) in the HOLY PLACE.

The meaning is: receiving the HOLY SPIRIT by being baptized by Yeshua the Messiah WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT and with FIRE. John the Baptist was recorded in all four Gospels including Matthew 3:11 saying: “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes One who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

REDEMPTIVE GIFT: The Exhorter

The Menorah is the only light allowed in the HOLY PLACE, needing pure oil to burn continually (read Exodus 25:31). The Exhorter is placed between the Teacher Gift (representing the Word taught at the Table of Showbread) and the Giver (represented by Incense/ Prayer), to give them light. The Exhorter brings light to the revelation of Yeshua which the Teacher sees in the Word, and then brings light to the Worship anointing that the Giver has. The worship anointing the Giver has is to worship YHVH from the Word. The Exhorter’s light is the revelation of Yeshua, who He is and what He does from the Father’s heart. The Exhorter can only bring light if there is pure oil (if they are filled with the Holy Spirit), speaking from God’s agenda and not their own and giving God all the glory and not themselves – the light they bring must therefore be pure and sanctified. When the Exhorter speaks and walks in purity in the spirit, then there is an anointing from the Throne Room that flows through the Exhorter to others. The Exhorter reveals YHVH in a world that does not know Him yet.

The importance and power of THE GIFTS of YHVH are highlighted in:

STEP 4 of the JOURNEY THROUGH THE TABERNACLE, portrayed by THE MENORAH, we are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and FIRE, discovering and developing our: Motivational/Redemptive Gifts received from Abba Father on conception, our Office Gifts/ Calling received from Yeshua our Messiah and the GIFTS of the HOLY SPIRIT (Romans 11:29 & 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12: 7-11 & 27-31, Ephesians 1:17-18 & 4:11 and 1 Peter 4:10) – all with the purpose to:

1. Glorify Abba Father through Yeshua our Messiah (1 Peter 4:11);
2. To become more like Yeshua our Messiah (John 13:13-17, 1 John 2:6 and Ephesians 4:22-24 & 5:1-2);
3. To build up the Community of Believers/the Body of Yeshua our Messiah to be trained and taught for service (Ephesians 4:11-13); and
4. To have the POWER to SPREAD the GOOD NEWS/ GOSPEL of SALVATION! (Mark 16:15-20, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 and Colossians 1:23-29).

In summary the gifts are the following:

Motivational Gifts also called Redemptive (redeeming, rescuing, delivering) Gifts received from YHVH the Father

The Greek word for gift in Romans 12 is charisma, indicating a gift of grace, charm, and personality – signifying an inner focus. So these GIFTS are all about WHO WE ARE and what our PURPOSE is. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 7:7 “…each has his own GIFT from God, one this, another that.” And Paul says to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:14 “Do not neglect your GIFT…”

One can therefore say these GIFTS validate our identity, but we also have to realize, in their immature form, they can be destructive. We learn more about it as we study deeper into examples of people in the Bible with these gifts as well as evaluate ourselves. The redemptive gifts are perfect descriptions of each of our personalities and it help us to understand our strengths and development areas as well as understanding our family members, friends, colleagues and fellow believers better and assist them to discover their identity and purpose. These GIFTS are discussed in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 , Romans 12:6-8 and  1 Peter 4:7-19.

There are SEVEN MOTIVATIONAL or REDEMPTIVE GIFTS namely:

1. Prophecy – speaking the Word of YHVH to His people in proportion to the amount of faith received from Abba Father.
2. Serving – helping, aiding and attending to people in line with Abba Father’s Word.
3. Teaching – educating, instructing & coaching others in line with Abba Father’s Word.
4. Exhortation – encouraging, inspiring and reassuring others in line with Abba Father’s Word.
5. Giving – acting generously – with kindness, big-heartedness and compassion towards others in line with Abba Father’s Word.
6. Leadership – managing, controlling and guiding others, leading them with diligence in line with Abba Father’s Word.
7. Mercy – with compassion, kindness, understanding and caring for others, showing mercy to them with cheerfulness in line with Abba Father’s Word.

The five-fold OFFICE GIFTS also called Governmental (administrative, organisational) Gifts (our Calling) received from Yeshua our Messiah

We read in Ephesians 4:1-16 Paul is saying to the believers in Ephesus “Therefore, I, the prisoner united with the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called. Always be humble, gentle and patient, bearing with one another in love, and making every effort to preserve the unity the (Holy) Spirit gives through the binding power of shalom (peace). There is one body and one (Holy) Spirit, just as when you were called to one hope. And there is ONE Lord (Yeshua the Messiah), one trust, one immersion, and one God (YHVH) the Father of all, who RULES over all, WORKS through all and IS in all. Each one of us, however, has been given GRACE to be MEASURED by the Messiah’s bounty (abundance, prize, reward).

This is why it says (Paul is referring here to a prophecy in Psalm 68:18-19 of Yeshua’s ascension) saying: After He went up into the heights, He led captivity captive (that refers to the evil forces) and He gave GIFTS to mankind. Now this phrase: ‘he went up’, what can it mean if not that He first went down into the lower parts, that is, the earth? The One who went down is Himself the One who also went up, far above all heavens, in order to fill all things.  Furthermore He gave some people as emissaries (ambassadors, apostles), some as prophets, some as proclaimers of the Good News (evangelists) and some as shepherds and teachers. Their task is to equip God (YHVH, the Father’s) people for the work of service that builds the body of Messiah, until we all arrive at the unity implied by trusting (believing, having faith) and knowing the Son of God (YHVH, the Father) at full manhood (strength, courage, boldness), at the standard of maturity set by the Messiah’s perfection.  We will THEN no longer be infants tossed about by the waves and blown along by every wind of teaching, at the mercy of people, clever in devising ways to deceive. Instead SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, we will in every respect grow up into HIM who is the head, the Messiah under His control, the whole body is being fitted and held together by the support of every joint, with each part working to fulfil its function; this is how the body grows and build itself up in LOVE.”  Also read 1 Corinthians 12:28 and 1 Corinthians 14.

So the FIVE Office or Administering Ministry Roles (Callings) are the following:

1. Apostles – serving as ambassadors (representatives) and establishing congregations/ communities of believers.
2. Prophets – speaking the Word of Abba Father to the congregation/ community of believers.
3. Evangelists – proclaiming the Good News/ Gospel of salvation and acting as witnesses.
4. Shepherds – guiding and caring for believers.
5. Teachers – training and teaching believers.

Believer’s callings are therefore to equip God (YHVH, the Father’s) people for:

• The work of service that builds the body of Messiah,
• Until we all arrive at the unity implied by trusting (believing, having faith), and
• Knowing the Son (Yeshua) of God (YHVH, the Father) at full manhood (strength, courage, boldness), at the standard of maturity set by the Messiah’s perfection.

With the purpose of:

• No longer being infants in our faith and knowledge of the Word of YHVH, tossed about by the waves and blown along by every wind of teaching, at the mercy of people, clever in devising ways to deceive us;
• Instead we will be SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE;
• We will in every respect grow up into HIM who is the head , Yeshua, the Messiah; and
• Under His control, the whole body/ community of believers is being fitted and held together by the support of every joint, with each part working to fulfil its function; and this is how the body grows and builds itself up in LOVE.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit also called the Manifestation Gifts

All of these gifts are works of the Holy Spirit given for edification (improvement, instruction and teaching).

We read about these gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:7 “…to each person is given the particular (specific, individual) manifestation (appearance, presence, expression) of the (Holy) Spirit that will be for the common (shared, mutual, collective) good.”

We mainly read about it in 1 Corinthians 12: 8 –11. Also read verses 27-31 and Ephesians 1:17-18 as well as the prophesy about Yeshua’s ministry in Isaiah 11:1-3 and His confirmation of this when He commenced His ministry in Luke 4:18-19 and His commission to all believers in Mark 16:17.

There are NINE MANIFESTATION GIFTS namely:

1. A Word or message of wisdom;
2. A Word or message of knowledge;
3. Faith;
4. Gifts of healing;
5. Working of miracles;
6. Prophecy – being able through the Holy Spirit to have insight in the Word and bring the Word, or speak it to other people when needed in a specific situation for edification of those listening;
7. Discerning/ distinguishing between spirits;
8. Speaking in different kinds of tongues;
9. Interpretation of tongues.

So these GIFTS help us to DO our WORK for the Kingdom of Abba Father – we can say to EXECUTE our purpose with the POWER of the Holy Spirit as and when we need it in spreading the Good News of salvation.

Note: Every person has a unique combination of these THREE SETS of GIFTS

Two examples of people in the Bible are the following:

Isaiah had:

1. The REDEMPTIVE GIFT of TEACHER received from YHVH the Father – that means he had the personality and characteristics of the TEACHER GIFT;
2. The OFFICE GIFT of PROPHET – his calling received from Yeshua the Messiah; and
3. The MANIFESTATION GIFT of PROPHESY received from the Holy Spirit.

John the Baptist had:

1. The REDEMPTIVE GIFT of MERCY received from YHVH the Father – that means he had the personality and characteristics of the MERCY GIFT;
2. The OFFICE GIFT of APOSTLE – his calling received from Yeshua the Messiah; and
3. The MANIFESTATION GIFT of PROPHESY received from the Holy Spirit.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Once filled with the Holy Spirit at the Feast of Pentecost more spiritual warfare will be experienced – this is because the closer we draw to YHVH the Father, the more our spiritual battle will intensify because we become a threat to Satan and his evil forces driving the flesh and as we know from Galatians 5 – the flesh and the Spirit are enemies. Abba Father also allows Satan to accuse us when we sin as part of His disciplining process to purify us to become more and more holy as He is holy and coming closer and closer to Him and being more and more useful in His Kingdom (read Hebrews chapters 11-13 and Revelation 12).

We again see this in the example of Yeshua our Messiah – after being baptized He was lead to the dessert by the HOLY SPIRIT to be TESTED by Satan and we see that He successfully conquered Satan by using the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT (the WORD of YHVH). Read Luke chapter 4.

As the Commander of YHVH’s army and the horn of SALVATION, Yeshua defeated the enemies of our soul – “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it” Colossians 2:15 and “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and Death.” Revelation 1:18.

THEREFORE, believers have to learn to:

• Be strong and courageous for YHVH our God is with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9.
• Not be afraid or dismayed because we know the battle is not ours but YHVH our God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15).
• Store up the Word of YHVH in our hearts that we might not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11).
• Take up our authority in Yeshua our Messiah to tread on serpents and scorpions and over the power of the enemy and be assured that nothing shall hurt us (Luke 10:19).
• Know the TRUTH and be set free by it (John 8:32).
• Crucify the old self and die to being slaves of sin (Romans 6:6).
• Set our minds on the Holy Spirit and not on our own fleshly desires (Romans 8:7).
• To be conquerors in all things through Yeshua our Messiah who loves us and knowing that neither death nor life, nor angels or rulers, things present or things to come, nor powers, height, depth nor anything else in all creation can separate us from the LOVE of YHVH the Father in Yeshua our Messiah (Romans 8:37-39).
• Not conform to this world but be transformed by the renewal of our minds with the Word of YHVH our God that we, by testing, may discern what is the will of YHVH, what is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:1-2).
• Overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).
• Cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light (Romans 13:12).
• Know and accept Yeshua Himself IS OUR ARMOR and therefore we become VICTORIOUS when we ALLOW HIM to live IN and THROUGH us (Romans 13:14).
• Escape from temptation through the way YHVH our God provides to us by being OBEDIENT to His Word and praying for His deliverance from temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13 and Matthew 6:13).
• Be watchful, stand firm in faith and be strong (1 Corinthians 16:13).
• Live by truthful speech and the power of YHVH with the weapons of righteousness in our right and left hands, thereby THINKING, SPEAKING and DOING what is right according to the Word of Abba Father (2 Corinthians 6:7).
• Wage war by destroying arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of YHVH the Father and taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Yeshua our Messiah (the Word of YHVH) (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
• Be strong in Yeshua our Messiah and take up the WHOLE ARMOR OF YHVH that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil by standing against his deceptive tactics. Understanding that our fight is NOT against people but against the evil forces of darkness in the heavenly realm and therefore buckling up with the TRUTH of YHVH’s WORD around our waists, putting on HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS as a breastplate to protect our hearts from destructive emotions, putting on our feet the readiness to share HIS GOOD NEWS OF PEACE (SHALOM) everywhere we go, ALWAYS carrying the SHIELD of FAITH right around us – protecting us from ALL SIDES against the enemy’s flaming arrow attacks on the body, soul and spirit and putting on the HELMET OF SALVATION – knowing for sure that we are saved and delivered from the slavery of sin by Yeshua our Messiah and keeping our thoughts focused on His teachings in the Word and following Him in OBEDIENCE to Abba Father and taking up the SWORD of the SPIRIT – the Word of YHVH in fighting ALL our battles, like our Messiah illustrated to us in Luke chapter 4. And finally PRAYING at ALL times, in ALL circumstances and for ALL fellow believers in the world (Ephesians 6:10-18).
• Only think on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent and worthy of praise (Philippians 4:8).
• Fight the good fight of faith and take hold of the eternal life (1 Timothy 6:12).
• Draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water (Hebrews 10:22).
• Submitting ourselves to YHVH the Father and resisting the devil, then he will flee from us. And draw near to YHVH our God, cleanse our hands, purify our hearts and not be double-minded (James 4:7-8).
• Cast all our anxieties on Him and be sober and watchful for our adversary the devil prowls around like a lion seeking someone to devour and to resist him, firm in our faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by our fellow believers throughout the world (1 Peter 5:7-9).
• NOT making a practice of sinning (1 John 3:8).
• Conquering evil every day by the blood of Yeshua the Lamb and our testimony and not loving our own lives more than we love Him (Revelation 12:11).

So during the period between the Second Feast Season namely FEAST 4: the Feast of Weeks/ Pentecost taking place in May 2026 and the Third Feast Season (Feast 5-7: Trumpets, the Day of Atonement and the Feat of Tabernacles), taking place this year during September and October2026 we proceed with our kingdom work to assist with bringing in the HARVEST for the KINGDOM of YHVH / spreading the Good News of Salvation.

SO, IN SUMMARY

THE FEAST OF WEEKS/ PENTECOST (Shavuot):

Takes place this year at sundown on 23 May to sundown on 24 May 2026.

1.We are filled by Yeshua our Messiah with the Holy Spirit and with Fire.

2.We begin discovering and developing our:

• 1). Motivational/Redemptive Gift received from Abba Father on conception,
• 2). Office Gift/ calling received from Yeshua our Messiah; and
• 3). Gifts of the Holy Spirit

All with the purpose to:

• Glorify Abba Father through Yeshua our Messiah (1 Peter 4:11).
• To become more like Yeshua our Messiah (John 13:13-17, 1 John 2:6 and Ephesians 4:22-24 & 5:1-2).
• To build up the community of believers/the Body of Yeshua our Messiah to be trained and taught for service (Ephesians 4:11-13).
• To have the POWER to SPREAD the GOOD NEWS/ GOSPEL of SALVATION! (Mark 16:15-20, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 and Colossians 1:23-29).

 3.We become aware of and become skilled in Spiritual Warfare.

 4.We proclaim the GOSPEL with BOLDNESS until the FEAST of TRUMPETS!

Important note: The GOOD NEWS is for the poor (the humble) and likewise, we need HUMILITY to use our powerful GIFTS given to us by YHVH our GOD, the moment we get prideful we will lose our POWER and AUTHORITY in Yeshua our Messiah. May we therefore always remember Yeshua our Messiah’s words: “I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who stay united with Me, and I with them, are the ones who bear much fruit; because apart from Me you can’t do a thing.” John 15:5.
