FEAST SEASON 3 – FEAST 5: TRUMPETS 2025 – including Tabernacle imagery & Gifts

THE THIRD SEASON FEASTS OF YHVH

FEAST 5: THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS

The last three feasts help believers to: become Tabernacle Believers by conducting spiritual warfare, repenting of our sins and overcoming the trials of faith; and in so doing preparing for the SECOND COMING of Yeshua our Messiah, ensuring we are ready, keeping our lamps filled with oil and burning and helping others to do the same, thereby waking-up and staying awake and looking forward to the return of Yeshua our Messiah.

The Feast of Trumpets called Yom Teruah in Hebrew, taking place on the 1st of the 7th Bible Calendar month of Tishri. The date always remain the same on YHVH’s calendar but changes each year on the Gregorian calendar, due to the calendar months differing in days per month, THEREFORE, the corresponding date this year on the Gregorian calendar, is from sundown on 22 September to sundown on 23 September 2025 (you will remember a day on the Biblical calendar starts at sundown and not at midnight as we are used to).

We find the instruction of Abba Father for the Feast of Trumpets in:

Leviticus 23:23

“YHVH said to Moses: Tell the people of Israel (that is all 12 tribes including the mixed multitudes that were with them – see Exodus 12:38), in the seventh month, the first of the month (1 Tishri) is to be for you a day of complete rest for remembering, a holy convocation (assembly, gathering, congregation) announced with blasts on the shofar (trumpet). Do not do any work, and bring an offering made by fire to YHVH.”

This Fire offering entails:

Taking a decision to re-dedicate our lives to YHVH our God as a pleasing living sacrifice (see Romans 12:1-2), showing our love and commitment to Him by following in the footsteps of our Messiah Yeshua in obedience to the Father. And praying for fellow believers and those still lost or spiritually blinded (read Deuteronomy 6:5-7 and John 14:15).

THE PURPOSE OF THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS

  • To be and stay ALLERT and WAKE people-up!
  • To call ISRAEL (all 12 tribes, including Judah and Benjamin as part of the Southern kingdom – known as the Jews and Ephraim heading up the other ten tribes, known as the Northern kingdom and all those grafted into Israel – Romans 11), to REGATHER to a PURE FAITH in YHVH our GOD.
  • The people of Israel are to take stock of their SPIRITUAL CONDITION and make the necessary changes to prepare for the Day of Atonement (following 10 days after Trumpets) and to ensure that our lives are PLEASING to Abba Father.

BIBLICAL HISTORY AND MEANING

  • The sound of the trumpet represented God’s voice since God’s actual voice and his might in warfare was too terrifying for the Israelites.
  • Trumpets were to be blown (according to Numbers 10:1-10) to:
  •  Assemble people to worship God.
  1. Break up camp.
  2. Make alarm in preparation for battle; and
  3. At the beginning of each month and on the Feast of Trumpets to remind the people that He is YHVH their God.
  •  YHVH is described in Psalm 18: as our strength, rock, fortress and deliverer as well as our shield and the “horn” (referring to the rams’ horn) of our salvation and our stronghold who is worthy to be praised and save us from our enemies (also see 2 Sam 22:3)

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS, LIKE ALL THE OTHER FEASTS OF ABBA FATHER WILL BE FULFILLED BY YESHUA THE MESSIAH

  • In Luke 1:68-71 we see the prophecy of Zachariah referring to Yeshua as the “rams horn” of salvation raised up to save us from the hand of our enemies and all who hate us.

AT YESHUA THE MESSIAH’s FIRST COMING:

  •  He destroyed the works of Satan and the sin in men’s hearts.

As the Commander of God’s army and the horn of SALVATION, Yeshua defeated the enemy of our soul – “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it” Colossians 2:15 and “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and Death.” Revelation 1:18.

AT YESHUA THE MESSIAH’s SECOND COMING:

  • The SEVENTH/ LAST shofar (trumpet) will blast (read Isaiah 27:13, Joel 2:1, Matthew 24:30-31, Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 and Revelation 10:7 & 11:15);
  • And He will destroy the enemies of His Father and believers (1 Corinthians 15:20-28);
  • Yeshua is the true Commander of the army of God the Father (read Revelation 19:11-16).

PERSONAL SIGNIFICANCE FOR US/ APPLICATION

  • This feast relates to the believer’s SPIRITUAL WARFARE.

Two things are of importance here:

  1. The SHOFAR is sounded as a WAKE-UP CALL (see the Parable of the 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins in Matthew 25) “and at midnight a CRY was heard: Behold the bridegroom is coming, go out to meet Him.” (Matthew 25:6) – The word normally translated “shout “or “cry” comes from the Hebrew: TERUAH – translated as the “ALARM” blast of the shofar.
  •  Once filled with the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) at the Feast of Pentecost more spiritual warfare will be experiencedthe closer we draw to God, the more our spiritual battle will intensify because we become a threat to Satan.
  • Learn to live in the VICTORY of Yeshua as the HORN OF SALVATION – it is a requirement to enter the REST of GOD (Hebrews 4:1-11).
  • Put on the WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD (Ephesians 6:10-18).
  • Yeshua Himself IS OUR ARMOR (Rom 13:14) – we become VICTORIOUS when we ALLOW HIM to live IN and THROUGH us.
  • Also REMEMBER believers will join Him in the battle of Armageddon (FEAST 6: ATONEMENT/ JUDGEMENT DAY) – Read Revelation 17:14 & 19:14).

THE PROPHETIC ASPECT

The FEAST OF TRUMPETS has not been fulfilled in history, but will like the FEAST OF PASSOVER and PENTECOST, be literally fulfilled in future during the THIRD FEAST SEASON OF YHVH the FATHER as depicted in Feast 5.

  • The FEAST OF TRUMPETS (Feast 5) forms part of the DAY of ATONEMENT (Feast 6) and FEAST OF TABERNACLES (Feast 7) and relates to the great end-time events recorded by the prophets and specifically by John in the Book Revelation.
  • Revelation opens with the apostle John hearing the VOICE OF YESHUA, which SOUNDS LIKE A TRUMPET (Revelation 1:10).
  • We see the literal fulfilment of the FEAST OF TRUMPETS from Revelation 4 John writes: “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a TRUMPET speaking with me, saying, and ‘COME UP HERE, and I will show you things which must take place after this”.
  • John is then given a frightening vision of the USE OF TRUMPETS TO SOUND AN ALARM FOR WARFARE in the RESTORATION OF ISRAEL and the SEVEN-YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD (Revelation 6-14).
  • The prophets also referred to this period as: “BLOW THE TRUMPET IN ZION and SOUND an ALARM in My Holy Mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the DAY OF YHVH IS COMING, for it is at hand.” (Joel 2:1) and “The GREAT DAY OF YHVH IS NEAR; It is near and hastens quickly. The noise of the day of YHVH is bitter; there the mighty men shall cry out. That day is a day of WRATH, a day of TROUBLE and DISTRESS, a day of DEVASTATION and DESOLATION, a day of DARKNESS and GLOOMINESS, a day of CLOUDS and THICK DARKNESS, a day of TRUMPET AND ALARM, against the fortified cities and against the high towers (Zephaniah 1:14-16).
  • The ULTIMATE fulfilment of the FEAST OF TRUMPETS is the RETURN of YESHUA, described in Revelation 19 which will be announced with TRUMPETS: “Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying ‘The kingdoms of the world HAVE BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF YHVH our God and of HIS MESSIAH YESHUA, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
  • Rev 19:11-15 tells us that when Yeshua returns, He will be coming to MAKE WAR. He will crush all His enemies and rule with a rod of iron over a Kingdom that will never end.
  • YESHUA is the TRUMPET OF GOD the FATHER and the HORN OF OUR SALVATION. He is our GREAT WARRIOR KING who has defeated the enemies of God and God’s people.

THE TABERNACLE PICTURE

The pictures/ imagery of the TABERNACLE and its furniture in the TORAH (Genesis tot Deuteronomy) improve our understanding and help us in taking practical steps in our journey to YHVH the Father through Yeshua our Messiah who is THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE (according to John 14:6);

The TABERNACLE is YHVH THE FATHER’S PLAN and BLUEPRINT for SALVATION, PORTRYING YESHUA THE MESSIAH from the beginning to the end.

The TABERNACLE on earth was just a copy and shadow of the heavenly original (Hebrews 8:3-8).

  • The TABERNACLE is a picture of Yeshua our Messiah who is indeed IMMANUEL, “God with us” and He Himself is God the everlasting Father according to Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6, living with us. Also read John 1:14 & 2:21, Hebrews 10:19-22 and Revelation 21:3.
  • Entering the gate of the TABERNACLE was only the beginning of the journey of forgiveness and only the high priest had the privilege to enter into the presence of YHVH with fear and trembling on behalf of the people of Israel. But today we know, Yeshua our Messiah is the Way (the Gate) leading to ABBA FATHER. “Yeshua said, ‘I AM the WAY – and the TRUTH and the LIFE; no one comes to the FATHER except through Me.’” (John 14:6).
  • He says in John 10:9 “I am the gate; if someone enters through Me, he will be safe and will go in and out and find pasture.”
  • And in John 5:37 & 39 He says: “…the Father who sent Me has Himself testified on My behalf…You keep examining the Tanakh (the Old Testament) because you think that in it you have eternal life. Those very Scriptures bear witness to Me, but you won’t come to Me in order to have life!”
  • Yeshua the Messiah is the GATE standing between the things of YHVH the Father in the OUTER COURT and the WORLD – His desire is to LET us IN not to hold us out. He is the gate, the way to ABBA Father.
  • And just as in the picture of the TABERNACLE, entering the gate is just the beginning of our journey in relationship with ABBA Father.

AFTER ENTERING THE GATE (through YESHUA OUR MESSIAH) WE HAVE TO FOLLOW SEVEN STEPS AS PART OF EVERY BELIEVER’S SALVATION AND SANCTIFICATION PROCESS

By this time in the SALVATION AND SANCTIFICATION PROCESS the believer:

STEP 1: Made PEACE with YHVH the Father through the sacrifice of our Messiah Yeshua.

PICTURES:

  • Feast 1: Passover/ Pesach
  • Tabernacle Furniture: the Bronze Altar in the Outer Court, a picture of the Cross
  • Redemptive Gift: the Prophet

STEP 2: Died to the old nature and being buried with Yeshua our Messiah in the water of baptism – with other words being baptized with water for repentance/ dying with the sinless Lamb of YHVH the Father, Yeshua our Messiah, to our slavery to sin/ the old self/ the flesh).

PICTURES:

  • Feast 2: Unleavened Bread/ Matzah
  • Tabernacle Furniture: the Bronze Washbasin in the Outer Court, a picture of Baptism and daily repentance for accidental sins
  • Redemptive Gift: the Servant

STEP 3: We are raised with Yeshua our Messiah to a new life in Him and learning to live a sanctified, set-apart life by studying the ways of YHVH the Father in His Word and applying it. This means we SHAMA – the only word in Hebrew for OBEDIENCE that means: to HEAR, to LISTEN, to GIVE ATTENTION, to UNDERSTAND, to SUBMIT to and to OBEY.

PICTURES:

  • Feast 3: First Fruits/ Sfirat HaOmer
  • Tabernacle Furniture: the Table of Showbread in the Holy Place, a picture of daily eating and drinking the Word and being taught by the Holy Spirit
  • Redemptive Gift: the Teacher

STEP 4: Receiving the Holy Spirit by being baptized by Yeshua the Messiah WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT and with FIRE. John the Baptist was recorded in all four Gospels including Matthew 3:11 saying: “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes One who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

PICTURES:

  • Feast 4: Pentecost/ Shavuot
  • Tabernacle Furniture: the Menorah in the Holy Place, a picture of being filled with the Holy Spirit and fire, spreading the light (Good News of Salvation) of YHVH and Yeshua the Messiah to a dark world
  • Redemptive Gift: the Exhorter

Then we are ready for:

STEP 5: Ultimately preparing and getting ready for entering into the presence of, and therefore into a relationship with Abba Father through prayer and worship.

PICTURES:

  • Feast 5: Feast of Trumpets/ Yom Teruah
  • Tabernacle Furniture: the Altar of Incense in the Holy Place, a picture of prayer, worship and intercession

Meaning: Ultimately preparing and getting ready for entering into the presence of, and therefore into a relationship with Abba Father through prayer and worship and interceding for family members, fellow believers and those still lost or unsaved, thereby doing SPIRITUAL WARFARE.

The meaning of the ALTAR OF INCENCE is: Prayer and worship of YHVH the Father and also interceding for family members, fellow believers and those still lost or unsaved. This therefore includes SPIRITUAL WARFARE.

The altar of Incense brings intercession and worship together in one action. Psalm 141:2 “Let my prayer be counted as incense before You; The lifting up of my hands as the evening offering.”

  • Redemptive Gift: the Giver

The Altar of Incense represents the Redemptive Gift of Giver, who gives life to prayers and worship. When the Giver brings intercession and worship together, there is an anointing to fight in the heavens through intercession and to receive victory through worship.

The importance and power of PRAYER and WORSHIP are highlighted in the Word:

  • Acts 1:13-14 “…they (the emissaries) went to the upstairs room where they were staying…they all devoted themselves single-mindedly to prayer along with some women, including Mary (Yeshua’s mother), and His brothers.”
  • Acts 4:29-31 “Now YHVH, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak Your Word with great boldness. Stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the Name of Your Holy Servant Yeshua. After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God boldly.”
  • Ephesians 6:18 “…as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently for all God’s people.”
  • Philippians 4:6-7 “Rejoice in union with Yeshua the Messiah always! I will say it again: rejoice! Let everyone see how reasonable and gentle you are. YHVH is near! Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your requests known to God (the Father) by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then God’s (the Father’s) shalom (peace), passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua.”
  • 1 Peter 4:7 The accomplishing of the goal of all things is close at hand. Therefore, keep alert and self-controlled, so that you can pray.”

The Giver is in the middle of the Prophet and the Mercy. The Prophet has a high calling for warfare and intercession, to separate heaven and earth. Mercy has a high calling for worship. The Giver brings the two together.

It is intercession that flows from a grateful heart from past experiences. The fire used for the altar of incense came from the altar of burnt offerings. Incense were not allowed to be burned before a blood offering was given. There cannot be a thanksgiving offer, before an offer of repentance.

The Prophet lays the foundation for thanksgiving and holiness and purity, and the Giver builds on that foundation through intercession. The Giver gives life to interceding prayers and through worship achieves victory in SPIRITUAL WARFARE.

Cain chose to leave behind generational curses. The Giver is to leave behind GENERATIONAL BLESSINGS. Like we see in Abraham, who left behind generational blessings after he died at 175 years of age, these blessings were carried over to Isaac. Isaac died at 180, therefore 355 years of blessings were carried over to Jacob who became the whole Israel, consisting of 12 tribes and we know ALL HUMANKIND have been blessed through Abraham through whom the promised Messiah came for SALVATION of the WHOLE WORLD. He gave His life to SET YOU FREE from the slavery to sin and from its death penalty. Are you now willing to give it all up for Him and receive LIFE more ABUNDANTLY? (John 10:10).

SO IN SUMMARY

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS (Yom Teruah):

Takes place on 1 Tishri, that is this year at sundown on 22 to sundown on 23 September 2025 and must according to Abba Father’s specifications be celebrated as a SABBATH.

 On this day we

Blow the shofar (trumpet) as a wake-up call for people for the return of Yeshua the Messiah.

Bible Study to be considered is:

  • The coming of the Kingdom of God (Luke 17:20-37).
  • Destruction of the temple and signs of the end time (Matthew 24:29-35, Mark 13:1-31 and Luke 21:5-38).
  • The season is known but the day and hour of the second coming of Yeshua the Messiah is only known by YHVH the Father (Matthew 24:36-51 and Mark 13:32-37).
  • The seven trumpets blown by the seven angels (Revelation 8-14).

From 1 to 10 Tishri (therefore from sundown 22 September to sundown 23 September 2025 are:

The TEN DAYS between the Day of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) and is a time of seeking Abba Father’s FORGIVENESS and MERCY – the TEN DAY PERIOD is therefore known as the TEN DAYS OF REPENTANCE (or the TEN DAYS OF AWE) and the purpose is to spiritually prepare for the Day of Atonement

  • Consider reading and sharing “Wake-up call” Scriptures during these TEN DAYS with family, friends and other people you know.
  • Also STAY AWAKE with PRAYER:
  • Consider reading scriptures on the power of prayer and worship like: Acts 1:14, Philippians 4:6-7 and 1 Peter 4:7.
