PREPARATION FOR THE THIRD SEASON FEASTS: THE CONGREGATION OF THYATIRA (Revelation 2:20)

The KING is in the FIELD! AWAKEN the BELIEVERS!

CONGREGATION FOUR: THYATIRA (Revelation 2:20)

MESSIAH YESHUA HAS THIS AGAINST THEM:

They continue to tolerate that Jezebel woman, the one who CLAIMS to be a PROPHET but is TEACHING and DECEIVING MY SERVANTS to commit sexual sin and eat food that has been sacrificed to idols (meaning they participate in false religious customs/ teachings).

• The woman in their midst may have been called JEZEBEL, or she could have been a JEZEBEL-type, because of her likeness to the wife of king Ahab of ISRAEL (the Northern Kingdom, the Ten Tribes under Ephraim) as written in 1 Kings 18 – 21 and 2 Kings 9.

• This JEZEBEL took it on herself to ADVISE her husband Ahab, and she led him to stray from YHVH, the God of ISRAEL, and follow Baal in accordance with the PAGAN RELIGION she had grown up in her father’s house, Ethba’al, king of Sidon (1 Kings 16:31).

• She actively:

1) Opposed YHVH’s SERVANTS.

2) Massacred the PROPHETS of YHVH (1 Kings 18:4).

3) Encouraged SEXUAL IMMORALITY.

4) Led the people of YHVH to participate in pagan practices/ customs (to eat at the table of demons as Paul later explains in 1 Corinthians 10:21).

• As a CONSEQUENCE of her evil influence, the weak king Ahab erected an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal which he had built in Samaria, and set up the Asherah (Astarte, a CARVED IMAGE of a pagan goddess) 1 Kings 16:32-33.

• The Congregation of Thyatira allowed a woman like JEZEBEL to operate in their midst.

• This SERVES as a WARNING to CONGREGATIONS and INDIVIDUAL BELIEVERS today not to allow any man or woman with a JEZEBEL controlling and manipulating spirit to influence them with the evil of COMITTING SEXUAL IMMORLITY and FOLLOW FALSE TEACHINGS.

• Today, FALSE RELIGION is not openly called Baal worship, but is seen in: 

1) Syncretism (amalgamation/ combining/ mixing) with Babylonian Religion, like: Paganism, New Age practices, cults, Free Masonry and worship of the moon god.

2) Worshipping of the “sex god” who is Baal is widespread in our communities, culture, clothing and entertainment. It is said estimated that there are just as many BELIEVERS as non-believers who indulge in porn, extramarital affairs and other sexual sins with the unfortunate result of spilling the innocent blood of unborn children through abortion.

3) Persecuting the PROPHETS of YHVH in an attempt to mute the TRUTH of the WORD of YHVH.

SOUL SEARCHING

1. Am I allowing Baal worship (sexual immorality and false teachings and customs) in my congregation and or my personal life?

2. Am I actively participating in Baal worship (sexual immorality and false teachings and customs)?

3. Am I persecuting (bad mouthing, harassing, gossiping, slandering) those that speak the TRUTH in accordance to the WORD of YHVH?

REPENTANCE, RESTORATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT

• The GOOD NEWS is that Elijah DEFEATED the Baal prophets with the help of YHVH (1 Kings 18).

• Elijah’s VICTORY foreshadowed the VICTORY of MESSIAH YESHUA on the CROSS, DESTROYING evil by stripping the evil forces under Satan’s control of their power, making a public spectacle of them as the eternal defeated ones and triumphing over them (1 John 3:8 & Colossians 2:15).

• The GLORIFIED MESSIAH YESHUA now stands ready with EYES LIKE FIERY FLAMES and FEET, like BURNISHED BRASS and gives WARNINGS to BELIEVERS before HIS SECOND COMING, HIS REIGN for a THOUSAND YEARS and the ultimate DESTRUCTION of ALL EVIL in the LAKE of FIRE.

• Therefore, is in NOW TIME for me and you to REPENT of our involvement with Baal worship (sexual immorality and false teachings and customs) and RETURN to the TRUTH of YHVH our GOD, worshipping HIM ONLY (Mathew 4:10 & Deuteronomy 6:13-14).

• MESSIAH YESHUA gives believers the authority to trample down snakes and scorpions (evil spirits/ demons) and ALL the Enemy’s (Satan’s) evil forces and we can be sure that YHVH our God is FAITHFUL and will STRENGHTEN and PROTECT us from the evil one (the Adversary/ Satan) and his evil forces (Luke 10:19 & 2 Thessalonians 3:3).
