PREPARATION FOR THE THIRD SEASON FEASTS: SOUND THE TRUMPET LOUD AND CLEAR

Elul 28 (10 September 2026)

The KING is in the FIELD! AWAKEN the BELIEVERS!

We have now looked at all SEVEN LETTERS to the SEVEN CONGREGATIONS. Each Congregation/ type of believer have specific challenges to:

• Purify their FAITH.
• Have COURAGE.
• Ensure they function according to SOUND DOCTRINE (guidelines, rules, beliefs) aligned with the TRUTH of the WORD.
• Be ZEALOUS (enthusiastic, passionate, fervent) in their LOVE for YHVH our God; and
• Having a WILLINGNESS to SUFFER for HIS SAKE, even to death if necessary.

MESSIAH YESHUA calls ALL believers to REPENTANCE for:

• Our sin.
• Being lukewarm.
• Compromising.
• Wordliness.
• Immorality.
• Idolatry; and
• False/ wrong doctrine.

We read in Jeremiah 4:20-22 “The news is disaster after disaster! All the land is ruined. My tents are suddenly destroyed, my tent curtains in an instant. How long must I see that signal and hear the SHOFAR (the Ramshorn/ Trumpet) sound? It is because My people are foolish (unwise) – they do not know Me; they are stupid (senseless, thoughtless, irresponsible) children, without understanding, wise when doing evil; but they don’t know how to DO GOOD.”

The SHOFAR (Ramshorn, Trumpet) CALL of YHVH our GOD comes through PREACHING THE TRUTH.

We read in Ezekiel 33 YHVH says to Ezekiel that a watchman must “blow the SHOFAR (the RAMSHORN/ TRUMPET) to WARN people when he sees danger coming. If someone hears the SHOFAR but paid no attention to it, the responsibility for his death is his own; whereas if he had paid attention, he would save his life. Ezekiel is then appointed by YHVH as a watchman for the HOUSE of ISRAEL (the Northern Kingdom, the Ten Tribes under Ephraim) to when he hear the WORD from the mouth of YHVH, to WARN them, telling the wicked person to leave his way. If Ezekiel does not warn him, YHVH will hold him accountable for the wicked person’s death, but if Ezekiel warns him to turn from his wicked way and he doesn’t turn, then the person will be guilty, but Ezekiel will have saved his own life. And then YHVH says in verse 11: “I take no pleasure in having the wicked person die, but in having the wicked person TURN from his way and LIVE. So REPENT! TURN from your evil ways! For why should you die, HOUSE of ISRAEL?

Just as the SHOFAR needs to be BLOWN LOUDLY and CLEARLY, so too, we need to PREACH and TEACH the WORD of YHVH LOUDLY and CLEARLY so that people will HEAR, UNDERSTAND, LISTEN and RETURN to YHVH our GOD. 

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14:8 “And if the bugle (the trumpet) gives unclear sound, who will get ready for battle?”

We need to CLEARLY SOUND YHVH our GOD’s CALL to REPENTANCE and HOLINESS in our CONGREGATIONS as well as among FELLOW BELIEVERS (including our families and friends) to WAKE UP SPIRITUALLY, to REPENT, FAST and PRAY. Then GOD promises to FORGIVES us and avert HIS JUDGEMENT.

YHVH our GOD CALLS us to REPENTANCE through:

• HIS WORD.
• PROPHETS, PREACHERS and TEACHERS calling people to REPENT and TURN BACK to Him.
• WARNING SIGNS upon the earth.

The PROPHET Amos said in Amos 3:6 “When the SHOFAR is blown in the city, don’t people tremble? Can disaster befall a city without YHVH having done it? YHVH our God, does nothing without revealing HIS PLAN to HIS servants the prophets.”

As part of YHVH’s WARNING SIGNS, SIX TRUMPETS will SOUND before the SEVENTH and LAST TRUMPET will announce the SECOND COMING of MESSIAH YESHUA.

We read about THE SIX TRUMPETS in Revelation chapters 8-9 and the SEVENTH and LAST TRUMPET in Revelation 11:15 announcing the following: “The kingdom of the world has become the KINGDOM of our YHVH (God the Father) and HIS MESSIAH, and HE will RULE forever and ever!”

The Complete Jewish Study Bible explains: When the seventh angel sounds his shofar, then the active reign of God on earth, the MESSIANIC KINGDOM, promised in Revelation 1:5-8 and 6:10 begins to unfold. Between these verses and chapter 19 are the various judgements and other events associated with the overthrow of the system of this world and the inauguration of the MESSIAH’s RULE.

YHVH our GOD does not want anyone to PERISH but ALL to come to REPENTANCE (read 2 Samuel 14:14, Ezekiel 18:23 & 33:11, John 3:16-17, 1 Timothy 2:4-6 and 2 Peter 3:9).

If we sound the ALARM, YHVH our God will FIGHT for us (read Nehemiah 4:20).

MESSIAH YESHUA promises ETERNAL REWARDS to all believers who OVERCOME.

SOUL SEARCHING

1. Am I hearing the YHVH my GOD calling me to turn back to the TRUTH of HIS WORD and HIS WAYS?

2. How am I going to respond?

3. Am I SOUNDING the SHOFAR (the RAMSHORN, the TRUMPET) to CALL people to WAKE-UP and REPENT and RETURN to GOD the FATHER and lead HOLY LIVES in OBEDIENCE to HIM? Experiencing HIS PERFECT LOVE and PEACE.

REPENTANCE, RESTORATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT

MAY WE WAKE-UP from our SLUMBER and then SOUND THE WAKE-UP CALL to others LOUD and CLEAR as we are encouraged in the following Scriptures:

• Paul tells us in Romans 13:8-14 “Don’t owe anyone anything- except to LOVE one another; for whoever LOVES his fellow human being had fulfilled Torah (Genesis to Deuteronomy, summed up in the Ten Commandments). For the COMMANDMENTS, ‘Don’t commit adultery,’ ‘Don’t murder,’ ‘Don’t steal,’ ‘Don’t covet,’ and any others are summed up in this ONE RULE: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF. LOVE does not do harm to a neighbour, therefore LOVE IS THE FULLNESS OF TORAH. Besides all this, you know at what point of history we stand; so it is high time for you to ROUSE YOURSELVES FROM SLEEP; for the FINAL DLEIVERANCE is nearer than when we first came to TRUST (to FAITH). The night is almost over, the DAY is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and ARM OURSELVES with the WEAPONS OF LIGHT. Let us live properly, as people do in the DAYTIME– not partying and getting drunk, not engaging in sexual immorality and other excesses, not quarrelling and being jealous. Instead, CLOTHE YOURSELVES with the MASTER YEHSUA the MESSIAH; and don’t waste your time thinking how o provide for the sinful desires of your old nature. ”

• And in Ephesians 5:14 we read “…everything REVEALED BY THE LIGHT is revealed clearly for what it is, since anything REVEALED IS LIGHT. This is why it says: ‘Get up sleeper! Arise from the dead, and the MESSIAH will SHINE on you!’”

• And in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 Paul says:: “…you yourselves well know that the DAY of YHVH will come like a thief in the night (referring to the Second Coming of Messiah Yeshua) When people are saying, ‘Everything is so peaceful and secure,’ then DESTRUCTION will suddenly come upon them, the way labour pains come upon a pregnant woman, and there is no way they will escape. But you brothers (fellow believers) are not in the dark, so that the DAY should take you by surprise like a thief; for you are ALL people who BELONG to THE LIGHT, who BELONG to THE DAY. We don’t belong to the night or to darkness, so let’s not be asleep, like the rest are; on the contrary, let us STAY ALERT and SOBER. People who sleep, sleep at night; and people who drink get drunk at night. But since WE BELONG TO THE DAY, let us stay sober, PUTTING ON TRUST (FAITH) and LOVE as a BREASTPLATE and the HOPE of being DELIVERED as a HELMET. For God (the Father) has not intended that we should experience His fury, but that we should GAIN DELIVERANCE through our MASTER YEHSUA the MESSIAH, who died on our behalf so that weather we are ALIVE or DEAD, WE MAY LIFE ALONG WITH HIM. Therefore, ENCOURAGE each other, and built each other up – just as you are doing.”
