PREPARATION FOR THE THIRD SEASON FEASTS: THE CONGREGATION OF SARDIS (Revelation 3:4-6)

The KING is in the FIELD! AWAKEN the BELIEVERS!

CONGREGATION FIFE: SARDIS (Revelation 3:4-6)

THE BELIEVERS THAT DID NOT SOILED (STAINED) THEIR CLOTHES:

• They have a FEW BELIEVERS (a small group of people) in SARDIS who have not soiled their clothes; and they will WALK with MESSIAH YESHUA, CLOTHED in WHITE, because they are WORTHY. 

• The UNSOILED, CLEAN WHITE GARMENTS (clothes) worn by the OVERCOMERS in Sardis speak of RIGHTEOUS ACTS (actions in line with the WORD and WILL of YHVH).

• These BELIEVERS have not defiled their clothes with sins and imperfect works (works of the flesh, build with wood, grass and straw).

• The WHITE CLOTHES symbolizes PURITY, HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS we RECEIVE through MESSIAH YESHUA. It represents our NEW IDENTITY IN HIM as we are WASHED CLEAN of our sins and GIVEN the GIFT of ETERNAL LIFE.

• WHITE CLOTHES reminds us of THE TRANFORMATION that takes place within us (a PURE HEART) when we accept MESSIAH YESHUA, being MADE NEW and letting the LIGHT of MESSIAH shines through us as we WALK in YHVH the Father’s WAYS.

Paul tells us in Romans 13:13-14 “Let us LIVE properly, as people do in the daytime – not partying and getting drunk, not engaging in sexual immorality and other excesses, not quarrelling and being jealous. Instead, CLOTHE yourselves with the MASTER YESHUA the MESSIAH; and don’t waste time THINKING about how to provide for the sinful desires of your old nature.” (Read Isaiah 1:18, Zechariah 3:4, Matthew 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 4:24, Hebrews 10:22 and Revelation 7:14 & 19:8).

THE REWARD FOR THE OVERCOMERS

He (the person) who WINS the VICTORY, will like them (the few believers in Sardis):

1. Be DRESSED in WHITE CLOTHING;

• In the END TIMES the nations will RISE up and REBEL against YHVH the Father and YESHUA the SON, but the FATHER will appoint HIS SON as KING on MOUNT ZION to RULE over the NATIONS (Psalm 2:6, Isaiah chapters 60 & 62 and Revelation 17:14, 19:15-16 & 21:23-27). 

• Messiah Yeshua says in Revelation 21:7-8 “He who WINS the VICTORY will RECEIVE these things (the new heaven and earth, the entering into the NEW JERUSALEM living with God the Father and Yeshua the Son, having our tears wiped away by Him, there will be no longer death nor any mourning crying or pain because the old order of thigs will have passed away), and I will be his (the overcomer’s) God, and he will be my son (child). But as for the cowardly (those who did not overcome because they feared death more than they LOVED Him), the untrustworthy (those that became unfaithful), the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those involved with the occult and drugs, idol-worshippers, and all liars – their destiny is the LAKE burning with FIRE and sulphur, the SECOND DEATH.”

• We also read in Revelation 6:9-11 When the Lamb broke the FIFTH SEAL, He gave WHITE CLOTHES to the souls underneath the altar, those who had been put to death for PROCLAIMING the WORD of YHVH and BEARING WITNESS of HIM. 

2. And I (Messiah Yeshua) will not blot his (the overcomer’s) name out of THE BOOK of LIFE; 

• THE BOOK of LIFE, also called THE LAMB’s BOOK of LIFE are referenced at the END of ALL TIME, when ALL the DEAD are gathered before the GREAT WHITE THRONE of JUDGEMENT of YHVH our God, the ONE who CREATED all people. Each person will be JUDGED according to the RECORD which GOD has kept in HIS BOOK of LIFE. All our DEEDS both GOOD and evil are recorded here (read Revelation 20:11-14). We are told in Revelation 20:15 and Revelation 21:27 that anyone whose name is not WRITTEN in the BOOK of LIVE will be cast into the eternal fire (the LAKE of FIRE).

• When Moses pleaded in the Wilderness for the ISRAELITES, YHVH told him that those who sins against HIM will have their names blotted from the BOOK of LIFE. (Exodus 32:32-33).

And thirdly Messiah, Yeshua promised the FEW BELIEVERS in Sardis who did not soil their WHITE CLOTHES.

3. In fact, I will ACKNOWLEDGE him (the overcomer) individually before My FATHER and before HIS angels.

THEY SHOULD MAKE SURE:

• They HEAR and LISTEN to the VOICE of the HOLY SPIRIT in this message to them.

SOUL SEARCHING

1. Am I part of the FEW BELIEVERS who have not soiled their WHITE CLOTHES and therefore are not living in sin and not doing dead works (works that the Holy Spirit is not part of and are not part of my spiritual gift neither my calling)?

2. Am I CLOTHED with YESHUA my MESSIAH wearing WHITE CLOTHES of RIGHTEOUSNESS, ready for HIS RETURN (meaning, have I accepted Messiah Yeshua as my SAVIOR and have I DIED to my old sinful nature and been RESURECTED with HIM as a NEW PERSON, born again into the KINGDOM of ABBA FATHER, being WASHED every day in the LIVING WORD of YHVH and FILLED with HIS SPIRIT, enabling me to FOLLOW MESSIAH YESHUA in OBEDIENCE to the WORD of ABBA FATHER and using my SPIRITUAL GIFTS and CALLING to further the work of the KINGDOM)?

REPENTANCE, RESTORATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT

• IDENTIFY ALL WILLFUL (deliberate, intentional, planned) sin that we are still allowing in our lives, REPENT of it, RECEIVE ABBA FATHER’s FORGIVENESS, and TURN back in OBEDIENCE to HIM and ask for a NEW INFILLING with THE HOLY SPIRIT, to teach, guide and support us EVERY DAY to STAY on Abba Father’s NARROW WAY.

• In Galatians 3:26-27 we are told IN UNION with MESSIAH YESHUA, we are CHILDREN of GOD the FATHER, through this TRUSTING FAITHFULNESS; because as many of us who were immersed in the Messiah have CLOTHED ourselves with Him.

This can be better understood when we read Paul’s explanation it in Romans 6:2b-12 saying: “How can we, who DIED to sin, still LIVE in it? Don’t you know that those of us who have been IMMERSED (BAPTIZED) into MESSIAH YESHUA have been IMMERSED into HIS DEAHT? Through IMMERSION (BAPTISM) into HIS DEATH we were BURRIED WITH HIM; so that just as, through the GLORY (the HOLY SPIRIT) of the FATHER, the MESSIAH was RAISED from the DEAD, likewise we too might LIVE a NEW LIVE…We know that our old self (the old nature) was PUT TO DEATH on the CROSS with HIM, so that the entire BODY of our sinful propensities (tendencies, inclinations) might be DESTROYED, and we might NO longer be enslaved to sin. For someone who has DIED has been cleared from sin. Now since we DIED with the MESSIAH, we TRUST that we will also LIVE with HIM. We know that the MESSIAH has been RAISED from the dead, NEVER to die again; DEATH has NO authority over Him. For HIS death was a unique event that need not be repeated; but HIS LIFE, HE KEEP on LIVING for GOD (the Father). In the same way, consider yourselves to be DEAD to sin but ALIVE for God (the Father), by your UNION with the MESSIAH YESHUA. Therefore, do not let sin rule in your mortal bodies, so that it makes you obey its desires; and do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument for wickedness. On the contrary, offer yourselves to GOD (the Father) as instruments for RIGHTOEUSNESS.”

Paul is here clearly describing the FIRST FEAST SEASON of YHVH our God, consisting of HIS FIRST THREE FEASTS, Passover (the death of Messiah Yeshua on the cross and our old nature dying with Him), Unleavened Bread (our old nature being buried with Messiah Yeshua through baptism) and First Fruits (being resurrected with Messiah Yeshua the First Fruit of God the Father, to a NEW LIFE in HIM and being taught at HIS TABLE, HIS WORD and WAYS – eating the bread of LIFE), and then we can be filled with HIS HOLY SPIRIT (as part of FEAST SEASON TWO of YHVH: the Feast of Pentecost) receiving our SPIRITUAL GIFT and CALLING, developing it and functioning in it as part of doing our KINGDOM work with the POWER of THE HOLY SPIRIT.

• We are ENCORAGED to FLEE the passions of youth, and along with those who CALL on YHVH from a PURE HEART, PURSUE RIGHTEOUSNESS, FAITHFULNESS, LOVE and PEACE (2 Timothy 2:22).

• John tells us in 1 John 1:7 “if we WALK in the LIGHT, as God (our Father) is in the LIGHT, then we have fellowship with each other, and the BLOOD of His Son Yeshua purifies us from ALL sin.”

It is therefore clear that we are expected to WALK in the LIGHT (therefore, to live in accordance to the WORD of YHVH our God). Paul also encourages believers in Ephesians 5:8, even though ALL of us walked in darkness during some time of our lives, when we are UNITED with MESSIAH YESHUA, we ARE LIGHT. And therefore we have to LIVE like children of (the LIGHT), for the FRUIT of the LIGHT is in every kind of GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, RIGHTNESS and TRUTH – trying to determine what will please MASTER YESHUA.
