WAKE-UP CALL: Part 5 – Come out of Babylon! HEAR THE WORD, UNDERSTAND IT and BEAR FRUIT – THE NEW COVENANT

We are proceeding in our study on what Yeshua our Messiah explained in His PARABLE on the SOWER and the SEED in Matthew 13:1-23 (also read Mark 4:1-20 and Luke 8:4-15). And we are still focusing on THOSE BELIEVERS WHO SUCCEED TO COME OUT OF BABYLON because they are able to:

HEAR the MESSAGE, the GOOD NEWS of the KINGDOM of YHVH, UNDERSTAND it and BEAR FRUIT, a HUNDRED or SIXTY or THRITY TIMES what was sown.

We commenced speaking on what the WORD teaches us on RIGHTEOUSNESS, specifically through the examples of NOAH and LOT in the respective times that they lived in since Yeshua our Messiah told us that He will come again in a time SIMILAR to their time. Read Luke 17:26-30.

You will remember from the previous message that the word RIGHTEOUSNESS means: virtuous/ honorable, morally good, justice/ fairness/ impartiality, decency, uprightness, blamelessness/ innocence/ incorruptibility/ purity/ honesty. And that RIGHTEOUSNESS in according to  THE WORD of GOD means conforming to the ethical and moral standards of God (the Father) as provided to us in His WORD, specifically stated in Genesis to Deuteronomy and when we trust (have faith, belief) in Yeshua the Messiah, the RIGHTEOUS ONE, the SON of GOD the FATHER sent to pay the full price for our sins on our behalf because it is impossible for us to pay it, since the price for sin is DEATH, and when we choose to receive this FREE GIFT, God the Father recons us as RIGHTEOUSS. And then we FOLLOW Yeshua our Messiah on this path of RIGHTEOUSNESS as RIGHTEOUSS people, transferred from DARKNESS to LIGHT, and HIS LAW OF LOVE (a summary of the TORAH, Genesis to Deuteronomy in THE TEN COMMANDMENTS as written in in Exodus 20) is written on our HEART and MINDS and we are born again with HIS HOLY SPIRIT in us, igniting the LIGHT of GOD the FATHER in our SOULS and SPPIRITS and thereby enabling us to living each day in OBEDIENCE to the FATHER as HIS children of LIGHT in His RENEWED COVENANT with us – an everlasting COVENANT (read John 8:12, Acts 26:18, Ephesians 5:8, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 John 1:5-10).

We have also spoken about the NEW, or RENEWED COVENANT as prophesied in Jeremiah 31:31-34.

The Complete Jewish Study Bible – Insight for Jews & Christians explains: THE NEW COVENANT as follows:

• God has set the parameters of the PRESENT CREATION through HIS COVENANT with NOAH.

• He established His people (Noah and his family) through whom He would RESTORE the CREATION made as COVENANT with ABRAHAM. Noah was a descendant of Abraham through the line of SETH born to Adam and Eve in the place of Abel and we read at the time of Seth people began to call on the NAME of YHVH (read Genesis 4:25-26 and 5:1-32).

• Moses was a descendant of the TRIBE of LEVI. Under the LEADERSHIP of MOSES, GOD gave a COVENANT to ISRAEL so that those who believed His promises given to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3, would know how they should conduct themselves. This COVENANT governs THREE AREAS of their lives: 1). THE COMMANDMENTS governing their RELATIONSHIP with GOD and OTHER PEOPLE (Exodus 20:1-26), 2). THE JUDGEMENTS governing their social lives (Exodus 21:1-24:11) and 3). THE ORDINANCES GOVERNING RELIGIOUS LIFE on approaching GOD on HIS TERMS (Exodus 24:12-31:18). As well as BLESSINGS for OBEDIENCE and CURSES for DISOBEDIENCE (Read Deuteronomy 28).

• In the COVENANT with DAVID GOD AFFIRMED the KINGDOM of ISRAEL with the Son of DAVID (referring to Yeshua the Messiah) and the LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD at the time of David. This PRIESTHOOD was REPLACED in the NEW COVENANT with the PRIESTHOOD of MALCHEZEDEK under the HIGH PRIEST YESHUA THE MESSIAH (read Hebrews 4:14-16 and Hebrews chapter 7, and is what is meant in Hebrew 8:13 saying the NEW COVENANT, makes the OLD COVENANT vanish, actually referring to the VANISHING of the OLD ORDER LEVITICAL PREISTHOOD, now replaced by an EVERLASTING PRIESTHOOD through a HIGH PRIEST, YESHUA the MESSIAH who LIVES FOREVER and RESURECTED PRIESTS, referring to believers who have been made PRIESTS for GOD the FATHER through the BLOOD of YESHUA the MESSIAH in accordance to Revelation 1:6 which we know, then have ETERNAL LIFE and will be RESURECTED just like our MESSIAH to RULE with Him during HIS THOUSAND YEAR REIGN of PEACE (read Revelation 20:4-6).

• Each of these COVENANTS have remained VALID and in FULL FORCE, but NONE of them have been brought into FULL or COMPLETE manifestation yet.

• The FULLFILMENT of the COVENANTS requires a FINAL and ULTIMATE COVENANT that will COMPLETE and FULFILL ALL others before it. And this is called: THE NEW COVENANT.

• The NEW COVENANT was already anticipated in the COVENANT with MOSES that was confirmed in Moab (read Deuteronomy 30).

• The NEW COVENANT between GOD and THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL (the Northern Kingdom under Ephraim including ALL people who graft into ISRAEL in accordance to Romans 11:17) and with the HOUSE OF JUDAH (the Southern Kingdom, under Judah, including Benjamin, today known as “the Jews”) is announced and explained in Jeremiah 31:31-37.

• ISRAEL and JUDAH would not break it because God would place HIS TORAH on their HEARTS, resulting in FULL MANIFESTATION that YHVH is their GOD and they are HIS people. In its FULFILLMENT, THIS COVENANT will NOT require PROCLAMATION or EVANGELIZATION, because they will ALL KNOW him and they will be FORGIVEN of their sins (Jeremiah 31:31-34).

• This COVENANT is needed because the COVENANT that came through MOSES at SINAI were flawed because of the flesh.

• What the TORAH (God’s Word in Genesis to Deuteronomy and summed up in the TEN COMMANDMENTS in Exodus 20), cannot Do because of man’s EVIL INCLINATION (tendency, preference), GOD the FAHTER WILL DO by SENDING HIS SON, YESHUA the MESSIAH to accomplish it. THAT IS THE HEART OF THE GOSPEL, THE GOOD NEWS), which is related to THE NEW COVENANT BUT, is NOT the NEW COVENANT. 

• THE NEW COVENANT will COMPLETE and FULFILL the OTHER COVENANTS and bring FULL RESTORATION and SALVATION to GOD the FATHER’s CREATION. This will be accomplished through YESHUA the MESSIAH and the people of ISRAEL. 

• GOD addresses the COVENANT with NOAH by saying that WHEN the FIXED ORDER of the SUN and MOON and the CREATION can be MEASURED and EXPLORED FULLY, only then will ISREAL will cease to be a people or be cast off. While the CREATION STANDS, ISREAL STANDS as the people of GOD. And the NEW COVENANT will bring ALL the PROMISES to FULL OPERATION (read Jeremiah 31:35-37).

• YESHUA Himself addresses this when HE DECLARES that HE has not come to annul THE TORAH (the Word of GOD the Father in Genesis to Deuteronomy, summed up in Exodus 20 in the TEN Commandments) or the PORPHETS, but to bring them into FULL OPERATION (read Matthew 5:17).

• YESHUA also claims that NONE of it HAS or WILL PASS AWAY, neither REPLACED until it is FULLFILLED. And this will REMAIN TRUE as long as the CREATION (heaven and earth) REMAINS (read Matthew 5:18). 

• And in Matthew 5:20 Yeshua warned: “For I tell you that UNLESS your RIGHTEOUSNESS is FAR GREATER than that of the Torah teachers (the scribes) and the Pharisees, you will CERTAINLY NOT enter the KINGDOM of HEAVEN”. And then Yeshua our Messiah gives a list of the COMMANDMENTS relating to the TREATMENT of other people (Commandments 6 to 10) and He explains the deeper level meaning and requirements of these commandments (read Matthew 5:21-48).

And therefore Yeshua our Messiah’s words in Matthew 5 from verses 17 onwards confirm Deuteronomy 6:24-25 saying: “YHVH ordered us to observe ALL these LAWS, to FEAR YHVH our GOD, ALWAYS for our OWN GOOD, so that HE might KEEP us ALIVE, as we are TODAY. It WILL be RIGHTEOUSNESS for us IF we are careful to OBEY ALLE THESE MITZVOT (Commandments).

AND THE NEW COVENANT was SEALED with the BLOOD of THE MEDIATOR YESHUA our MESSIAH.

We read in Exodus 24:1-8 about Moses writing down the WORDS of YHVH and then building an altar and bringing burnt offerings of oxen to YHVH, then he took half the BLOOD and put it in basins and the other half he splashed against the altar. Thereafter, he took the BOOK of the COVENANT (the TORAH) and read it aloud so that the people could HEAR; and they RESPONDED saying EVERYTHING that YHVH has spoken, they WILL OBEY. And then Moses took the BLOOD, SPRINKLED it on the people and said, “This is the BLOOD of THE COVENANT which YHVH has made with you in accordance with ALL THESE WORDS.”

In Hebrews 9 the FIRST COVENANT THAT CAME THROUGH MOSES is explained as follows:

• It had both REGULATIONS for WORSHIP and a HOLY PLACE here on earth.

• The TENT (the Tabernacle) was set up, the FIRST PART of IT was called the HOLY PLACE and in it were the MENORAH (a Hebrew word for the golden, seven branched lampstand) and the TABLE and the (capital letter) BREAD of the (capital letter) Presence.

• Behind the second parokhet (a Hebrew word for curtain) was a TENT called the HOLIEST PLACE.

Please note: the FIRST parokhet (the curtain) was at the entrance to the HOLY PLACE separating it from the OUTER COURT.

The GOLDEN ALTAR for burning incense stood just in front of the second parokhet (curtain) and the ARK of the COVENANT, entirely covered with gold stood behind the second parokhet (curtain). In the ARK were THREE THINGS, namely: 1). the gold jar containing the manna (indicating God the Father’s PROVISION for His people), 2). Aaron’s rod that sprouted with almond flowers (indicating God’s AUTHORITY that He give to those He appoints), and 3). the STONE TABLETS of the COVENANT (indicating God’s LAWS for governing the people).

And on TOP OF THE ARK was the MERCY SEAT with k’ruvim (the cherubim – heavenly creatures/ a type of guardian angel which overshadowed the ARK of the COVENANT) representing the Sh’khinah (the Divine Presence, the manifest glory of God present with people), casting their shadow on the LID (the Mercy Seat) of the ARK.

The Complete Jewish Study Bible – Insight for Jews & Christians explains: The ARK of the COVENANT was a CHEST. The TOP of the ARK itself was a LID called “the MERCY SEAT” on which rested the DIVINE PRESENCE of YHVH. Each year on Yom-Kippur (THE DAY of ATONEMENT, FEAST SEASON THREE, FEAST 6 of YHVH), the high priest would enter the HOLIEST PLACE and drench the top of the MERCY SEAT with the BLOOD of the animal sacrifice to make ATONEMENT (amends, recompense/ payment, restitution) for the people. This was the physical place where YHVH met die high priest on the Day of Atonement (read Leviticus 16:2) and FORGAVE the sins of the people of ISRAEL.

The MERCY SEAT prefigured (foreshadowing) the ETERNAL MERCY, GRACE and HOPE that alone came through YESHUA the MESSIAH, through HIS SHED BLOOD on the cross, making ATONEMENT once and for all, placing the weight of humanity’s sin on Him (Also read 1 Peter 3:18).

The PRIEST were allowed to enter the HOLY PLACE to DO their DUTIES. These duties included:

1. Placing fresh loaves of BREAD on the TABLE (Leviticus 24:5-9)

Representing the WORD of YHVH that should be TAKEN IN each day by BELIEVERS to nourish and sustain us, becoming PART of our IDENTITY and in so doing we get the MIND of YESHUA our MESSIAH, meaning we start THINKING like HIM, hence Paul’s explanation in 2^nd Corinthians 10:5b saying: “…we take EVERY THROUGHT CAPTIVE and MAKE IT OBEY the MESSIAH”. REMEMBER: HE IS THE WORD OF GOD THE FATHER (read John 1:1-14 and Revelation 19:13). 

This is also a representation of FEAST SEASON ONE: FEAST 3 of YHVH: FIRST FRUITS, being resurrected with Messiah Yeshua as a NEW PERSON with a NEW IDENTITY in HIM (Read Leviticus 23:10-14, 2^nd Thessalonians 2:13, Romans 6:4 and 8:23-29, James 1:18, 1^st Peter 3:21 and Revelation 14:4).

Paul explains it in Galatians 6:14-16 saying: “Heaven forbid that I should boast about anything except the cross of our Master Yeshua the Messiah! Through Him as far as I am concerned, the world has been put to death on the cross, and through Him, as far as the world is concerned, I have been put to death on the cross for…what matters is being a NEW CREATION. And as many as order their lives by this rule, SHALOM (peace) upon them and MERCY, upon the ISRAEL of GOD.

2. Keeping the MEONRAH continually lit (Exodus 27:20-2 and Leviticus 24:1-4)

Representing the FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT that needs to be LIT in the HOLY PLACE (in the believer, the priest in the New Covenant according to Revelation 1:6, of the human TEMPLE of YHVH as explained by Paul in 1st Corinthians 3:16, specifically the HOLY PLACE, being the soul, indicating the heart and mind of each believer). This FIRE is LIT when we are BORN AGAIN and must be kept alight continually. This is also a representation of FEAST SEASON TWO, FEAST 4 of YHVH: PENTECOST, meaning: being baptized by Yeshua our Messiah with the HOLY SPIRIT and FIRE (Read Matthew 3:11-12, Luke 3:16, Acts 2:3-4 & 38).

Paul’s explains in 1^st Corinthians 2:15-16 that with the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD in us, it is possible to KNOW GOD THE FATHER, because: “We have the MIND of the MESSIAH! (because we EAT and DRINK the WORD).”

Paul also explains in Ephesians 1:13-14: “…you who heard the MESSAGE of THE TRUTH, THE GOOD NEWS offering you DELIVERNCE, and put your TRUST (faith, belief, hope) in the MESSIAH were SEALED by HIM with the PROMISED RUACH HAKODESH (Holy Spirit), WHO GUARANTEES (assures, warrants) our inheritance until we come into possession of it and thus bring Him PRAISE and COMMENSURATE (corresponding) with His glory.”

3. Burning incense on the ALTAR of INCENSE (Exodus 30:7-9).

Representing PRAYER to YHVH that serves as a sweet FRAGRANCE compared to incense as we read in Psalm 141:2 and in Revelation 5:8 we also read that these PRAYERS of the SET APART PEOPLE of YHVH, is like PIECES of INCENSE. And in Revelation 8:3-5 we read that PRAYERS is not in vain and will during JUDGEMENT DAY be mixed like incense with the FIRE from the ALTAR and thrown out on the earth. It was also a coal from the ALTAR of INCENSE, coming from the BRONZE ALTAR of BURNT OFFERINGS that was used to purify Isaiah’s lips in Isaiah 6:5-6 to atone for his sins before sending him out as servant of YHVH.

This is also a representation of FEAST SEASON THREE: FEAST 5 of YHVH: THE  FEAST of TRUMPETS, entailing the TRUMPETS sounding at the SECOND COMING of YESHUA the MESSIAH to WAKE BELIEVERS UP to make ready to meet the BRIDEGROOM (Read Leviticus 23:24, Joel 2:1, Matthew 24:30-31, Matthew 25:1-12, 1 Corinthians 15:52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 and Revelation 11:15).

Only the HIGH PRIEST could enter the HOLIEST of HOLIES, once a year on THE DAY of ATONEMENT, FEAST SEASON THREE, FEAST 6 of YHVH and he ALWAYS had to bring BLOOD with him, which he offered BOTH for himself and for the sins committed in IGNORANCE (by accident, without premeditation) by the people. The BLOOD of the SACRIFICE had to REMIND them of DEATH as the COSTLY PRICE of SIN – helping them to understand the seriousness and ugliness (violence, viciousness, evil) of sin and its ability to destruct (ruin and damage) lives.

Then the writer of Hebrews (probably Paul), says in Hebrew 9:8-15 “By this arrangement the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) showed that so long as the FIRST TENT (the first Tabernacle) had standing, the WAY to the HOLIEST PLACE was still closed. This symbolizes the PRESENT AGE and indicates that the conscience of the person performing the service cannot be brought to the goal by the gifts and sacrifices he offers. For they involve ONLY food and drink and various ceremonial washings – regulations concerning the OUTWARD LIFE, imposed until the TIME for GOD to RESHAPE the WHOLE STRUCTURE.

Paul also explained it in Romans 14:13-14 reprimanding people for judging each other and arguing about food saying to them in verse 15b-17: “…Do not by your eating habits, DESTROY someone for whom the Messiah died! Do not let what you know to be GOOD, be spoken of as BAD; for the KINGDOM of GOD is not EATING and DRINKING, but RIGHTEOUSNESS, SHALOM (peace) and JOY in the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit).

But when MESSIAH appeared as HIGH PRIEST of the GOOD things that are happening already, then, through the GREATER and more PERECT (capital letter) TENT which is not man-made (that is, it is not of this created world), He entered the HOLIEST PLACE once and for ALL. And He entered not by means of the blood of goats and calves, but by means of HIS OWN BLOOD, thus SETTING PEOPLE FREE FOREVER. For if SPRINKLING ceremonially unclean persons with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer RESTORES their OUTWARD PURITY; then HOW MUCH MORE the BLOOD of the MESSIAH, who through the ETERNAL SPIRIT, offered Himself to God as a sacrifice without blemish, WILL PURIFY OUR CONCIENCE from WORKS that LEADS to DEATH, so that we can SERVE the LIVING GOD!”

The Complete Jewish Study Bible – Insight for Jews & Christians explains: the reason why the physical TABERNACLE established under the Mosaic Covenant and the first and second TEMPLES replacing it had to be DESTROYED, namely, entry to the HOLY PLACE and HOLLIEST PLACE were STILL CLOSED to GENERAL people. Therefore they were still SEPERATED from GOD the FATHER. But to be able to ALLOW them into the HOLY PLACE and HOLIEST PLACE, their SINFUL FLESH had to be CLEANSED and PURIFIED. And ONLY one WAY could provide this lasting CLEANSING POWER to them and this is YESHUA the MESSIAH who PIAD the penalty ONCE and for ALL as the ONE PERFECT SACRIFICE for mankind’s sin to SET us FREE from sin and death that came through the fall of Adam and Eve, allowing sin and death to rule over them (and us) because of their decision to follow Satan’s words and NOT be obedient to God’s words.

And please REMEMBER: God the Father and God the Son is ECHAD, they are ONE, therefore strictly speaking God Himself, although in bodily form represented by YESHUA (who is the FATHER’s BODY) came down to earth to DIE for our sins! (Read Deuteronomy 6:4, John 12:45, John 14:7-9, Colossians 1:15 and Hebrews 1:3).

Therefore it is explained in Hebrews 9:15-22 “It is because of this DEATH that HE (Yeshua the Messiah) is MEDIATOR of a NEW COVENANT (or WILL/ TESTAMENT). Because a DEATH has occurred which SET PEOPLE FREE from the TRANSGRESSIONS COMITTED under the FIRST COVENANT, those who have been CALLED may RECEIVE the PROMISED ETERNAL INHERITANCE. For where there is a WILL (a testament/ legal document outlining how a person’s assets and possessions will be distributed upon death), there must necessarily be produced EVIDENCE of it’s makers DEATH, since a WILL (a testament) goes into effect ONLY upon DEATH; it never has force while its maker is still alive. This is why the FIRST COVENANT too was INAUGURATED with BLOOD (meaning DEATH had to occur, with the blood as proof of it). After Moses has PROCLAIMED EVERY COMMAND of THE TORAH to ALL people, he took the BLOOD of the calves with some water and used SCARLET WOOL and HYSSOP to SPRINKLE both the (TORAH) SCROLL itself and ALL the people; and he said, ‘This is the BLOOD of THE COVENANT which GOD has ordained you.’ Likewise, he SPRINKLED with the BLOOD both the TENT (the Tabernacle) and ALL the things used in its ceremonies. In fact, according to the TORAH EVERYTHING is PURIFIED WITH BLOOD; indeed, without the SHEDDING of BLOOD there is NO FORGIVENESS of SINS.

Remember: That is because sin is so horrendous and so destructive that the price for sin is DEATH. We should never be deceived by the pretty packaging sin comes to us – its core intent is to STEAL, KILL and DESTROY, never forget that! And that is why God HATES sin and if anyone who wants to associate themselves with it, will be DEMOLISHED with it to STOP its DESTRUCTIVE power and therefore the PRICE of SIN is DEATH – because the ONLY way to get rid of sin is to DESTROY it and the EVIDENCE of its DESTRUCTION is BLOOD. THEREFORE PEOPLE need to BE SAVED FROM SIN by YESHUA the MESSIAH, the ONE who was able to PAY THE FULL PRICE with HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD!

The Complete Jewish Study Bible – Insight for Jews & Christians explains: Yeshua the Messiah’s death has a function, not only in relation to the NEW COVENANT, but also to the FIRST COVENANT: people are SET FREE from their TRANSGRESSION because MESSIAH YESHUA PAID the penalty for sin, ONCE and for ALL; whereas the death of animals gave only temporary remission.

We further read in Hebrews 9:23-28 “Now this is how the copies of the HEAVENLY THINGS had to be PURIFIED, but the HEAVENLY THINGS themselves require better sacrifices than these. For the MESSIAH has entered a HOLIEST PLACE which is not man-made and merely a copy of the TURE ONE, but into heaven itself, in order to appear now on our behalf in the VERY PRESENCE of GOD (THE FATHER). Further, He did not enter heaven to offer Himself over and over again like the high priest who enters the HOLIEST PLACE year after year with BLOOD that is not his own; for then He would have had to suffer death many times – from the creation of the world. But as it is, He (Yeshua the Messiah, the BODY of God the Father) has appeared ONCE at the END of the AGES in order to DO AWAY WITH SIN through THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF.  Just as human beings have to DIE ONCE, but after this COMES JUDGEMENT, so also the MESSIAH, having been offered ONCE to BEAR THE SINS OF MANY, will appear a SECOND TIME, not to deal with sin, but TO DLEIVER those who are eagerly waiting for Him.

We read in Revelation 11:19 of the TEMPLE of GOD in heaven that was opened, and the ARK of the COVENANT was seen in HIS TEMPLE, and in Revelation 15:5 we read of of the SANCTUARY, that is the TENT of WITNESS in HEAVEN, was opened,...” The NIV refers to it as: “THE TABERNACLE OF THE COVENANT LAW”.

This refers to the TABERNACLE with the ARK of the COVENANT in heaven. Remember the TORAH, summed up in  the TEN COMMANDMENTS is seen as a WITNESS against the people as we read in Exodus 25:16 and Deuteronomy 31:26 also read the confirmation of this by Yeshua in John 12:47-48. The TORAH was kept in the HOLIEST PLACE next to the ARK and the STONE TABLETS with the TEN COMMANDMENTS had to be kept IN the ARK (Read Exodus 25:16 and Deuteronomy 10:1-5 & 31:26). Revelation 11:19 and 15:5 therefore serves as PROOF that the TABERNACLE on earth was a copy of the one in heaven as well as emphasizing the IMPORTANCE of the ARK of THE COVENANT, still mentioned at the end of the WORD of GOD as RELEVANT and SIGNIFICANT.

And then we read these interesting words in Exodus 24:9-13 “Moses, Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and seventy of the leaders went up; and they SAW THE GOD OF ISREAL. Under HIS FEET was something like a sapphire (blue) stone pavement as clear as the sky itself. He did not reach out His hand against these notables of ISRAEL; on the contrary, they SAW GOD, even as they were eating and drinking.” This is AMAZING!

They actually had the privilege to enter the THRONE ROOM, similar to what we read John saw in a vision in Revelation 4:6 describing something that looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal in front of the throne and also described in Ezekiel 1:26. Both Exodus 24 and Ezekiel 1 are visions of Yeshua in the Old Testament.

Remember: Yeshua is the BODY of God the Father as we also see in Genesis 18:2; 32:30 and confirmed by Yeshua saying in John 8:56-58: “Abraham, your father, was glad that he could see MY DAY; then he SAW it and was overjoyed. Why, you’re not yet fifty years old, the Judeans replied, and you have seen Abraham? Yeshua said to them, ‘Yes, indeed! Before Abraham came into being, I AM!’”. A bold declaration that HE IS GOD. REMEMBER, YESHUA the MESSIAH is the BODY of GOD THE FATHER who is DESCRIBED as a SPIRIT (read John 4:24).

And in Malachi 3:1 we read a prophecy about the SECOND COMING of YESHUA our MESSIAH namely:  “Look, I am sending My messenger to clear the WAY before Me; and the MASTER (referring to Yeshua the Messiah) whom you seek, will SUDDNELY come to HIS TEMPLE. Yes, the MESSENGER of the COVENANT in whom you take such delight – LOOK! Here He comes, says YHVH-Tzva’ot (the God of Angel Armies).” Also read Isaiah 40:3.

And it is confirmed in the prophecy of Zachariah, John the Baptists’ father, filled with the Holy Spirit in Luke 1:76-79 where we read: You, child (meaning John the Baptist), will be called a PROPHET of Ha’Elyon (the Most High); you will go before the MASTER (referring to Yeshua the Messiah) to PREPARE HIS WAY by SPREADING KNOWLEDGE among the people that DELIVERANCE COMES by HAVING SINS FORGIVEN THROUGH our GOD’s (the Father’s) MOST TENDER (loving, caring) MERCY, which causes the (capital) SUNRISE to visit us from HEAVEN, to SHINE on those in darkness, living in the shadow of death (also read Isaiah 9:1), and to GUIDE our feet into PATHS of PEACE.”

Remember: GOD IS LIGHT, brighter than the sun could ever be, please note in Genesis 1:3 on the FIRST DAY of CREATION there was LIGHT while the sun was only created on DAY 4 in Genesis 1:14-17 – so GOD the FAHTER’s MERCY, YESHUA the SUNRISE FORM HEAVEN is this LIGHT!

We further read in Exodus 24:12-13 “YHVH said to Moses, ‘Come up to ME on the mountains, and stay there. I will give you the STONE TABLETS with the TORAH and the MITZVOT (COMMANDMENTS) I HAVE WRITTEN ON THEM, so that you can TEACH them. Moses got up, also Joshua his assistant; and Moses went up onto the mountain of God.” The rest of the people who were with them stayed behind.

But we know and understand as explained in Hebrews 10:4 “For it is impossible that the BLOOD of bulls and goats should take away sins. That is why, on coming into the world He says (quoting the prophecy in Psalm 40:7-9), ‘It has not been your will to have an animal sacrifice and a meal offering; RATHER, you have prepared for Me (referring to Yeshua) a body. No, you have not been pleased with burnt offerings and sin offerings. Then I said: Look! In the scroll of the book (the TORAH) it is written about Me (with other words in the Torah it is written about Yeshua the Messiah). I have come to DO Your WILL.’” And therefore as explained in the rest of Hebrews chapter 4, Yeshua our Messiah had to come as the PERFECT LAMB to be sacrificed once and for all for ALL the sins of humanity in order for those who believe in Him to have ETERNAL LIFE (read John 3:16).

And we read in the prophecy of Zachariah, John the Baptists’ father, filled with the Holy Spirit in Luke 1:67-75 “Praised be YHVH, the GOD of ISRAEL, because He has visited and made a ransom (payment) to LIBERATE (release, free) HIS people by RAISING UP for us a MIGHTY DELIVERER who is a descendent of His servant David.  It is just as He has spoken through the mouth of the prophets from the very beginning – that we should be DELIVERED from our enemies and from the power of all who hate us. This has happened so that He might show the MERCY PROMISED to our fathers – that HE would REMEMBER HIS HOLY COVENANT, the OATH HE swore before Abraham our father to grant us that we, FREED from our  enemies, would SERVE HIM without fear, in HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS before HIM ALL OUR DAYS.”

PLEASE TAKE NOTE of the TWO IMPORTANT ELEMENTS:

1. FREED from our enemies (including the flesh and Satan and his evil forces, alluding to being freed from SIN and DEATH) by YESHUA the MESSIAH; and

2. SERVE YHVH the FATHER without fear of our enemies and in HOLINESS (committed to Him/ set apart for Him) and RIGHTEOUSNESS (doing what is right according to His WORD/ HIS TORAH) before HIM ALL OUR DAYS.”

RIGHTEOUSNESS therefore clearly have TWO COMPONENTS:

1. THE WORD of GOD THAT HAD TO BE PLACED NEXT TO THE ARK of THE COVENANT WITH THE SUMMARY ON THE STONE TABLETS WITHIN THE ARK (read Exodus 25:16, Deuteronomy 10:1-5 and Deuteronomy 31:26).

The TORAH (the Word of YHVH in Genesis to Deuteronomy) is so IMPORTANT that in terms of the NEW COVENANT it is WRITTEN on OUR HEARTS (read Jeremiah 31:31-34, Ezekiel 11:19-21 and 36:24-27). The REASON being that GOD’s WORD, dictated to Moses to write it down as found in, Genesis to Deuteronomy (read: Deuteronomy 31:9 and 24) and summed up in Exodus 20, WRITTEN with HIS OWN FINGER, and indication of THE HOLY SPIRIT (read Luke 10:19), once on STONE TABLETS (read Exodus 31:18 and Deuteronomy 9:10) but now on HUMAN HEARTS who BELIEVE IN HIM, and known as His LAW OF LOVE, HIS TEN COMMANDMENTS that will KEEP us safe AS BELIEVERS, HIS CHILDREN, if we CHOOSE to follow it. So today the HOLIEST PLACE of our TEMPLES, is literally the HEART which is CONNECTED with the MIND where GOD’s COMMANDMENTS are to be WRITTEN.

2. THE BLOOD of YESHUA our MESSIAH sprinkled on the MERCY SEAT.

If we accept His death as the FULL PRICE paid for us, we are COVERED BY HIS MERCY against ABBA FATHER’s LAW if we REPENT of our ACCIDENTAL SINS with REMORSE in line with HIS instructions (Read 1 John 1:1-10). THE TORAH (the WORD of God, summed up in the TEN COMMANDMENTS) have the power to CONDEMN to DEATH as we read in examples in Genesis to Deuteronomy as indicated in Hebrews 10:28, hence Paul’s description of it as the “LAW of DEATH”. But through the MERCY of ABBA Father, we are DECLARED RIGHTEOUSS by the BLOOD of YESHUA our MESSIAH COVERING US on the MERCY SEAT. And we FOLLOW HIM in thankfulness and with the HELP of the HOLY SPIRIT in OBEDIENCE to the FATHER.

PLEASE NOTE: Without the ARK of THE COVENANT with the SUMMARY of the COMMANDMENTS inside, the MERCY SEAT will have nothing to REST on and will be INCOMPLETE and LIKEWISE, without the MERCY SEAT the ARK of the COVENANT will have no lid covering it and will be INCOMPLETE. The TWO FORMS ONE PERFECT ARK OF THE COVENANT – a COVENANT between YHVH our GOD and HIS SET APART PEOPLE of which WE CAN BE PART OF, IF WE AGREE TO HIS TERMS and ENTER INTO the COVENANT with HIM.

So this is what is meant by John 1:17 “For the TORAH was given through MOSES; GRACE and TRUTH came through YESHUA the MESSIAH.

And also what Paul means in Romans 6:14 saying: “For sin will not have authority over you; because you are not under LEGALISM (skewing and diminishing the Torah into a system of rule for earning God’s praise without trusting, loving or communing with Him, the Giver of the Torah) but under GRACE. Paul then proceeds saying in verses 15-22 “Therefore, what conclusion should we reach? Let’s go on sinning, because we’re not under legalism but under grace? HEAVEN FORBID! Don’t you know that if you present yourselves to someone as OBEDIENT SLAVES, then, of the one whom you are OBEYING, you are slaves – whether of SIN, which LEADS to DEATH or of OBEDIENCE (to God the Father and His Word) which LEADS to being made RIGHTEOUS? By God’s (the Father’s) GRACE, you who were ones SLAVES of sin, OBEYED from your HEART the pattern of teaching to which you were exposed; and AFTER you have been SET FREE from sin, you BECAME ENSLAVED TO RIGHTEOUSNESS (doing what is RIGHT and morally just in accordance to Abba Father’s Word). I am using popular language because your human nature is so weak. For just as you USED to offer your various parts as SLAVES to IMPURITY and LAWLESSNESS, which led to MORE LAWLESSNESS; so NOW offer your various parts as SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS, which LEADS to being MADE HOLY, SET APART FOR GOD. For when you were SLAVES of SIN, you were FREE in relationship to RIGHTEOUSNESS (therefore, not living righteous); but WHAT BENEFIT did you derive from the things of which you are NOW ASHAMED? The END RESULT of THOSE THINGS WAS DEATH. (Do you REMEMBER in our previous message we learned from the Word that a lifestyle of sin will lead to SPIRITUAL DEATH while living on earth and after DEATH, will lead to not being allowed to ENTER the KINGDOM of GOD the FATHER). However, now, FREED from sin and (willingly, eagerly, happily) ENSLAVED TO GOD , you DO GET THE BENEFIT – it consists in being MADE HOLY, SET-APART  for GOD and its END RESULT is ETERNAL LIFE (being made alive spiritually while living on earth and after death being able to ENTER into the KINGDOM of God). For what one EARNS from SIN is DEATH; but ETERNAL LIFE is what one RECEIVES as a FREE GIFT from GOD (the FATHER), in UNION WITH THE MESSIAH YESHUA, our MASTER.

Paul further explains it in Romans 7 saying that the TORAH (Genesis to Deuteronomy summed up in the TEN COMMANDMENTS) only apply to our SINFUL NATURE, being guidelines not to worship false small letter gods, not to dishonor our parents, not to commit adultery, steal, kill, lie, covet (want/ desire) other people’s belongings but when WE DIE to this SINFUL nature, WE DO NOT COMMIT THESE SINS ANY LONGER because DEAD PEOPLE DO NOT SIN!

Therefore he says in Romans 7:4-6 “Thus, my brothers, you have been MADE DEAD with regard to the TORAH through the MESSIAH’s BODY, so that you may BELONG to someone else, namely the ONE who has been RAISED from the DEAD, in order for us to BEAR FRUIT for GOD (the Father). For when we were living according to our OLD NATURE, THE PASSIONS CONNECTED WITH SIN WORKED THROUGH the TORAH in our VARIOUS PARTS.”

Paul is alluding to the fact that the things the TORAH forbids are the things the FLESH wants to DO in VIOLATING the TORAH in REBELLION. Similar to a TEENAGER – when the parents forbid the teenager to do something, the teenager may rebel and do the very thing the parents have forbidden. This is the NATURE of the FLESH ruling the mind of a person. And until it DIES with YESHUA our MESSIAH, it cannot and will not stop sinning because the small letter master of the flesh is Satan and his demons (Read Romans 8:7). The only way it can CHANGE, is when the OLD NATURE DIES with YESHUA the MESSIAH and an individual is FILLED with the HOLY SPRIT and his or her mind is RULED by the Holy Spirit (Read Romans 8:9-11). So the TORAH  is in no ways BAD, just as the parent’s RULES DISOBEYED by the teenager is in no ways bad, but it leads to REBELLION in the TEENAGER who still has not reached maturity and is ruled by his or her own desires and emotions.

Paul explains it in Romans 7:12 saying: So the TORAH (the WORD of GOD in Genesis to Deuteronomy and summed up in the TEN COMMANDMENTS in Exodus 20) is HOLY; that is, the COMMANDMENT is HOLY, JUST and GOOD.” Therefore, the TORAH serves as a PRESCRIPTION for RIGHTEOUS LIVING, and it has NEVER CHANGED!

Paul also confirmed in Acts 24:14: “…I worship the God of our fathers in accordance with THE WAY (which they call a sect). I continue to BELIEVE EVERYTHING that accords to THE TORAH (Genesis to Deuteronomy as summed up in the Ten Commandments) and EVERYTHING written in THE PROPHETS.”

And YESHUA our MESSIAH then Himself CONFIRMS the NEW COVENANT to be concluded in HIS BLOOD as part of the FULFILMENT of FEAST SEASON ONE, FEAST 1 and 2 of YHVH, namely: PASSOVER and UNLEAVENED BREAD (as we read in Matthew 26:17 it was the FIRST DAY for UNLEAVENED BREAD lasting for seven days as instructed by YHVH the Father in Leviticus 23:5-14. Please note: they had a tendency to refer to the FIRST SEASON FEASTS as the FEAST of UNLEAVENED BREAD because it was the longest part of the three feasts with a duration of seven days)

And we read in Mathew 26:26-28 while eating the PASSOVER meal in the evening with His disciples: (read Matthew 26:20 as a day on the Hebrew calendar starts at sundown in the evening as specified in Leviticus 23:5) Yeshua took a PIECE of MATZAH (unleavened bread), made the b’rakhah (said a blessing to YHVH the Father, usually starting with PRAISING YHVH the Father as quoted in Psalm 119:12 and then continuing with a description of the specific reason for praising Him at that moment), broke it, gave it to His talmidim (disciples) and said, ‘Take! Eat! This is My Body!’ Also He took the CUP of WINE, made the b’rakhah (said a blessing to YHVH the Father), and gave it to them, saying: ‘All of you, drink from it! For this is MY BLOOD, which ratifies the NEW COVENANT, MY BLOOD shed on behalf of many , so that they may have their sins FORGIVEN.” Also read Mark 14:22-24 and Luke 22:17-20.

The Complete Jewish Study Bible – Insight for Jews & Christians explains: the “CUP of BLESSING” is also known as “the CUP of SALVATION” in the PESACH (Passover) service.

Paul further explains in 1 Corinthians 11:26 “….the MASTER YESHUA, on the night He was betrayed (alluding to the night He and His disciples ate the last Passover meal before His crucifixion), took BREAD; and after He made the b’rakhah (said a blessing to YHVH the Father). He broke it and said: ‘This is My BODY, which is for you. DO this as a memorial to Me’; likewise also the CUP after the meal , saying: ‘This CUP is the NEW COVENANT effected (made) in MY BLOOD, DO this as often as you DRINK it, as a MEMORIAL to ME.’ For as often as you EAT this BREAD and DRINK the CUP, you PROCLAIM the DEATH of the MASTER, until He comes.”

The Complete Jewish Study Bible – Insight for Jews & Christians explains: Just as ISRAEL recounted the story of their freedom from Egypt during the EXODUS on every FEAST of PESACH following their Exodus up to the FULFILLING of THE FEAST OF PESACH (PASSOVER) with the RENEWAL of the COVENANT by Yeshua the Messiah, the DEATH of YESHUA the Messiah taking place on the FEAST of PASSOVER as the FULLFILLMENT  is to be PROCLAIMED by BELIEVERS in HIM as the EXODUS from SIN and the BASIS of their EXISTENCE. It therefore looks back to a PAST LIBERATION and FORWARD until the MESSIAH comes a SECOND TIME.

THE REASONS THAT THE NEW COVENANT IS A BETTER COVENANT is the following:

• ISRAEL and JUDAH would not break it because God the Father will give them a NEW HEART and put a NEW human spirit inside them and put HIS HOLY SPIRIT inside them, causing them to live by HIS laws and respect HIS rulings and obey them. (Jeremiah 31:31-34, Ezekiel 11:19-21 and Ezekiel 36:24-27).

• Paul explained this by saying: “He made us COMPETENT to be WORKERS SERVING a NEW COVENANT, the essence of which is not WRITTEN TEXT but the SPIRIT. For the WRITTEN TEXT brings DEATH, but the SPIRIT GIVES LIFE (Paul is alluding to the NEW COVENANT now not written on STONE TABLETS but on the HEARTS of BELIEVERS by the HOLY SPIRIT) Read 2^nd Corinthians 3:6.

• We therefore DIED to the OLD SELF (the OLD FLESH/ NATURE that loved to SIN) and UNITED with YESHUA the MESSIAH we become a NEW CREATION – the old (flesh) has PASSED and we are now FRESH and NEW (Read 2^nd Corinthians 5:15-17). And therefore we follow the HOLY SPIRIT of God that is now LIVING inside of us and REMINDING us of the WORD of GOD and GUIDING us in ACCORDANCE to take DECISIONS in LINE with GOD’s WORD. Our minds are therefore controlled by the HOLY SPIRIT and therefore we have LIFE and SHALOM (PEACE) Read Romans 8:6-7.

• Unlike human high priests, Yeshua the Messiah, LIVES FOREVER, HIS POSITION as our HIGH PRIEST does not pass on to someone else; and consequently, HE is TOTALLY ABLE to DELIVER those who approach GOD (the Father) through Him, since He is ALIVE FOREVER and thus FOREVER able to INTERCEDE (mediate) on our behalf. This is the kind of HIGH PRIEST that meets our need – HOLY, without evil, without stain, set apart from sinners and raised higher than the heavens; ONE who does not have the daily necessity, like the other high priests, of offering up sacrifices first for their own sins and only then for those of the people; because He offered ONE sacrifice, ONCE and for ALL, by OFFERING HIMSELF (Hebrews 7: 22-27).

• Yeshua the Messiah, sits as our HIGH PRIEST at the RIGHT HAND of HaG’dulah (the GREAT GOD the FATHER) in HEAVEN. There HE SERVES in THE HOLY PLACE, that is, the TRUE TENT of MEETING, the ONE erected not by human beings but by YHVH. We read in Exodus 25:20 God said to Moses: “See to it that you MAKE EVERYTHING according to the PATTERN you were SHOWN on the MOUNTAIN”. God therefore gave Moses the BLUEPRINT of the TEMPLE HE LIVES in in HEAVEN. “But now the WORK YESHUA has been given to Do is far superior to theirs (the earthly high priests), just as the COVENANT HE (Yeshua) mediates is BETTER. For this COVENANT has been given as TORAH (the WORD of YHVH) on the basis of BETTER PROMISES (read Hebrews 8:1-7).

The Complete Jewish Study Bible – Insight for Jews & Christians explains: In the RENEWED COVENANT, the TORAH has been expanded to the LIVING TORAH, being YESHUA the MESSIAH HIMSELF, the LIVING WORD of YHVH the FATHER.

And in Hebrews 13:20-21 we read: The GOD of SHALOM (PEACE) brought up from the DEAD the GREAT SHEPHERD of the sheep, our MASTER, YESHUA, by the BLOOD of an ETERNAL COVENANT. May GOD (the Father) equip you with EVERY GOOD THING you need to DO HIS WILL; and may HE DO in us WHATHEVER PLEASES HIM, through YESHUA the MESSIAH. To HIM be the GLORY FOREVER and EVER. AMEN.
